Awesome.  Glad they decided to ditch the "Luchador" mask.

this is exactly how I thought Christopher Nolan's bane would look like and bane for the modern age and I think very realistic.

To me Bane is a combination of strength power and domination. But also the idea of him is scary and he should look the part. This is a great interpenetration of the character. He looks like he has been restrained but also like he is only a moment from lashing out. There also looks like there is more going on in his head than just him being a brawler villain.

I think it looks better. I mean, in 1997's Batman & Robin, Bane had that one mask on his face and the one Nolan has for Bane, it looks better. We can actually see his eyes. Of course Bane has to look scary, he is scary in the comics......er right?

I trust Christopher Nolan 100% with whatever he does.

I posted this in the first thread that was created about this topic....but for some reason this one takes precedence over the first one...so I will ask it here as well.

I read somewhere that this movies Bane will be shorter than Batman...is this true?

He looks like a shackled beast ready to brawl!

My first thought was:

OMG!  Hardy = HOT!  <insert fangirl SQUEEEEEEE>

My second thought was:

WHAT?!  Why are they covering up his lovely lips???
 
After a few minutes, my brain rebooted and I thought:

Does Hardy look badass, Yes so iam happy.

 Bane in the comics looks like a pro-wrestler, and while that look works in the comics it doesn't really fit into the real world feel of Nolan's films.

my god Hardy is a beast. I just saw the trailer for Warrior and he is just plain ripped. I can't wait.

i think this is just the right look, enough comic book in there and a good dose of realism which fits nolans universe

I hated Batman until Bane came along in the comics when I was a kid so seeing this makes me very VERY happy.

Maybe after filming he can get Sub-Zero back his mask.

i don't know, it looks good, but I miss the mask, it gave him some style points, plus he kind of looks like nemesis from resident evil in this shot, but I'll have to make a final decision once I see it in action, cause this isn't enough to go on.

 I don't like it at all.  The casting is wrong.  Bane is supposed to have a Mexican wrestler / Medellín Drug Cartel feel to him.  This looks more like Hannibal Lecter the early years.

...Underwhelming...
