In the pages of the Messiah CompleX storyline, a baby is born in Cooperstown, Alaska. The birth is detected as it overloads Professor X's mind when he is searching for any new mutants with Cerebro. The X-Men immediately head to Cooperstown only to find destruction. It seems there was been a battle between the Marauders and the Purifiers. There is no sign of the baby.

Bishop vs. Baby.

The X-Men (and other X-teams) unite to discover which of the two groups is in possession of the baby. They soon find out that the baby is alive and Cable (who was thought to have been killed by Gambit and Sunfire) has taken her. What Cable's plans are remains to be seen. It appears that Cable has taken drastic action against anyone tracking them, even his fellow X-Men.

Cyclops has made the decision to allow Wolverine to form a new X-Force team to track and deal with Cable, by any means necessary, in order to save the baby.

They say the eyes are a window to the soul...

On top of being hunted by X-Force, the Marauders, and the Purifiers, it seems that Cable may be destined to come face-to-face with the mutant eating creature known as Predator X.

The time-traveling mutant Bishop is also on the hunt for Cable and the Baby Mutant. Bishop believes that by killing the baby he can prevent his own future, and save the lives of millions of humans.

Powers

The baby girl's powers remain to be seen, but her very birth broke Cerebra. She also survived being touched by Rogue with no negative effect to the baby.
