Aztek
Aztek is a comic book character that first appeared in Aztek: The Ultimate Man #1Aztek was raised by the Q Foundation as the avatar of the snake-god Quetzalcoatl. He was meant to battle a great darkness. He was killed fighting the Mageddon with JLA.
History
When Aztek was sent out to fulfill his destiny, they sent him to an odd city called Vanity. The city had strange architecture that was build very close together and Aztek had trouble maneuvering his wings for flight. In his first real battle he had to fight a over aggressive vigilante who nearly killed a D-list crook robbing a bank. Both of them ended up dying when a bomb went off in the bank. Aztek was the only one who made it out unscathed. This gave Aztek a heavy dose of reality and what was really at stake.
Aztek died trying to destroy Mageddon, hoping that his sacrifice redeemed his connection to Luthor.
Powers
Aztek is a peak human, both physically and mentally but gains his powers from an ancient armor and helmet. This armor/helmet is said to be powered by a four-dimensional mirror and grants him flight, intangibility, invisibility, super vision (both infrared and x-ray), plasma beams, density manipulation, the ability to camouflage his body heat or to entrap his victims with netting. It can also augment his already peak physical powers to superhuman standards.
Aztek was the champion of the meso-american god of light, he had limitless 4-dimensional energy at his disposal and his helmet contained the stored tactical knowledge of all his predecessors.
Aztek's helmet harnessed 4-dimensional energy and contained the collective knowledge of all its previous wearers.
