Ra's al Ghul makes Azrael a very special offer: abandon his quest for the System and become the next Ra's al Ghul. But first, the avenging angel must prove himself in a trial by combat! Plus, Talia shows Sister Lilhy the world outside the walls of the Order of St. Dumas, and Brian learns about the agony of recovery from alcoholism.
Ra's al Ghul and Talia welcomed their "guests." Lilhy was overwhelmed - she'd never journeyed outside the castle walls before. The Demon's Head sent three assassins for Azrael, they were all defeated. When Brian fell from his window trying to avoid the battle, he was revived in the Lazarus Pit. Jean Paul turned down all of Ra's al Ghul's offers and set out on his way again.
