Nicely done!
Thank you, Mr. Wells, for showing us so perfectly exactly how much of a jerk Hawkeye is by writing a story that puts him in stark contrast with a character that's genuinely very likeable (Spider-man)!
Normally I'm not a fan of Greg Land's art, but in this comic he does a fantastic job. Well done, sir!
In this story we see how the ever-friendly Hawkeye really proves he's a hero of high caliber by ruining a childrens' archery competition, making fun of a kid who asks for his autograph, point out that he doesn't bother to 'go on patrol' (meanwhile insinuating he doesn't really care about helping people), making fun of Spider-man (for using his webs to get around, going 'on patrol', actually caring about the welfare of other people...the list goes on and on), insist that the only thing he ever does is 'train', leave people unconscious in dark alleyways (Illegal organ farmers everywhere thank you for that, Hawkeye), defacing public property, and then whine about not having super-powers.
Class act, that guy.
