    Made me laugh

Christopher Yost continues with him telling another story of the beginning of the saga of Superior Spider-Man.Spider-Man(with Doc Ock) in his body and the X-Men in a battle together is something that can make you buy the book.Yost pretty well captures again Ock's character and make him encounter another type of humans, more evelved, mutated. He is arrogant and so are they which makes him even more cocky. The combination has a lot of potential and it delivers us that.

The action is something top notch and we have some pretty interesting villain that looks lame but he is kust a puppet of someone bigger that I love and his appearance in the end was really cool. The way Doctor Octopus thinks in battle is something new that previously wrtiters didn't point out and it is just amazing how well his brain works. He examines every situation and makes a plan of the future in the secon. That wasn't that catchy as how he humiliated Wolverine. He just grabbed him and K.O-ed him after a couple of seconds.Everyone was amused except Iceman who was looking at the giant spider.

Paco Medina is a great artist and I would love to see him stay on Avenging Spider-Man as long as he wants. His style perfectly fits the situation and the characters and he can make great action scenes. His Superior Spider-Man is great and he makes every change into the costume of Spidey look great.

The only problem I had is that the X-Men found out that there may be something different in Spider-Man in a bad way and MJ still hasn't noticed. This looks really strange and buggs me a lot.MJ has known Peter for his whole life and I don't know how she still hasn't found out that that is not Peter but the X-Men discovered it after staying with Peter for 10 minutes. This just looks too unnatural and kinda looks like a big bug for me.

The story was interesting,it has a lot of action and delivered what I expected.Yost has so far a good run on Avenging Spider-Man and these one-shot stories are great. The book finally has potential again and amuses me.

I'm a big critic of Chris Yost, often thinking that he's one of those writers that never reach full potential or that, after showing a good start, fall back under pressure and can't deliver in the end, but if he can keep up the good quality he showed in this first issue, I'll definitely start picking up this series every month!! My biggest concern after ASM # 700 big event/conclusion was how writers would address the new Spider-Man personality, even though Peter Parker somehow is still there: wo...

WARNING: This Might Turn You Into A Doc Ock Fan 0

The Overview: It's Spider-Man teaming up with the X-Men as a giant spider terrorizes New York City and its inhabitants. This is the first first issue where we see Doc Ock interacting with other superheroes and Chris Yost plays it out beautifully. But for those opposed to what Dan Slott has done to Peter Parker, will they be on board after seeing this "superior" version of Spider-Man? Well.... you'd be surprised. The Good: For those who are willing to give this Ock/Spider-Man thing a chance, this ...
