Captain America... obviously.
Avengers
Team » Avengers appears in 7701 issues.
The Avengers are Earth's mightiest heroes and foremost super-team... "There came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth's mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born - to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now, the Avengers Assemble!"
Who is cooler? Captain America or Thor?
...Why ask the question if you've already come to a conclusion in your opening post?
Anyway, 'cool' is a subjective term. I prefer Cap, since he's my favorite Marvel hero. But I don't mind Thor either, he's an interesting and admirable character when used properly (see: Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Hemsworth's portrayal in the Thor movie).
I'm mostly only a fan of either of them as Avengers, but I do like them both a lot.
maybe it's because I'm not american, but I'm gonna have to say Thor.
Cap's a great character, but I can't really think of him as cool, per se..
It's all a matter of opinion, but sense he's my favorite Marvel character I say Cap.
I like Thor too, but I think overall cap is a more interesting character. (for me anyway)

Thor. Captain America can be a bit....stuffy.
Stuffy? have you seen that outfit of his? he wears that in public all the time! he's strait up fabulous!
Obviously Thor.
I don't hate Captain America, but I really, really, really, really don't like him. Firstly, because I'm not american and his patriotism bull doesn't really catches me. Secondly, he's like the biggest douchebag I've ever seen. Thirdly, I don't like his costume.

I'm not American either, but personally I find his patriotism to be a universal thing. I mean as a young Steve Rogers, he risks his life for an experimental procedure that might kill him...all because he thought it was the right thing that any American should do. He didn't do it for power or to prove anything, just out of loyalty to his country. I'm sure that anyone who's ever felt love for his/her country can respect that.
Just thought I'd share my opinion. But to each his own, I guess. :)

I would say Thor but the current Thor is terrible so capt.
What are you smoking? The Marvel Now Thor is the best thor and years. hes finally acting like a powerful god. Hes now displaying power levels like a god.
Captain America, he isn't cool in the typical way people think of the word but I like him more than Thor.
@digbykong: Thor does fight frost giants alot, he could be cooler.
Cap. He's an icon anyone can look up to as a better person. Plus beings that far out-power him can't even intimidate him.
Thor. By about a mile. Always was more interesting. Especially during this fantastic run by Jason Aaron.
Thor absolutely. He is the coolest Marvel hero out there imo. Cap America, at least as portrayed in the movies was way too serious, I mean I know he was frozen for 60 odd years, but he needs to chill out, if you excuse the pun. He also has limited powers, being basically a steroid enhanced soldier with an unbreakable shield, whereas Thor is an immortal God with super strength, speed, mjolnir, flight and weather controlling abilities. That's a lot of powers in one package. Thor rocks!!!
Captain America... obviously.
