we already have thanos coming and i heard that world war hulk was to be after that but what else would you like to see? me personally would love anything with ultron or even do something with galactus like how emh ended. also who would you want to see added to the line up or even removed since scarlet witch and pietro were conformed for avengers 2

this could be a whole trilogy by itself, and I think it could be really cool, but I think they'd have to establish a much larger superhero presence in the MCU before it would make sense. Plus, I don't think they could do the story justice without the rights to Spider-man or the Fantastic 4, which they still don't have.

I would totally love an Avengers: Under Siege movie, but it might be too hard since many of the characters aren't in the MCU yet, and possibly never will be. But something in the lines of an animated movie would be perfect for it, IMO.

They could make a MCU version of the Masters of Evil? Zemo, Leader, Abomination, someone else in the Whiplash armor, Crossbones etc...

True, but it would take a long time to introduce all those characters into the MCU, not counting Abomination since he was in Hulk 2 but it's been so long people might need a "refresher course" on him, and the Whiplash idea could be good, and Crossbones will be in Cap: Winter Soldier, but Zemo, Leader, Goliath, The Wrecking Crew, Yellowjacket (Rita), Tiger Shark, Hyde. And the what about the other heroes? Such as Wasp, Namor, Hercules, Black Knight, etc, etc. I think a better idea would be animation such as the DC movies or even the Ultimate Avengers by Lionsgate, just my opinion, though.

I think that they most likely won't keep to the story, naturally they can't follow it exactly. But like most comic-book movies, they could take the basic idea (Avengers attacked at their home by the Masters of Evil) and go from there?

I think I'd actually like to see them write an Avengers story for a movie, instead of trying to do an adaptation of something from the comics. At least for what they're doing right now.

The movie version of the Avengers are still in their early stages, which the comics haven't been in 50 years. They don't have enough of their world developed to do most classic Avengers stories any justice. But at the same time, it would be crazy to try and develop their world the way Stan Lee and other marvel creators of the 60's and 70's did, because they're working in a completely different medium, aimed at a completely different audience, so they're going to have to do it differently anyway.

@oldnightcrawler: Theres always the animated DVD adaptions. I'm still waiting for the day when they adapt Avengers Forever since EMH adapted most of the Avengers storyline.

yeah, see, that makes more sense than trying to adapt the stories to the cinematic universe. I say, let the movie makers come up with their own stories that work better in that universe.
