Avengers
Team » Avengers appears in 7699 issues.
The Avengers are Earth's mightiest heroes and foremost super-team... "There came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth's mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born - to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now, the Avengers Assemble!"
SDCC 2010: Avengers panel, guess who's joining the Avengers...
" @Nobody: That would be an awesome title xD Is Heralds an ongoing title? "I'm not sure if it is or not. I haven't been picking it up.
" I just feel like Civil War was retconned "It feels like it, from what it seems, Marvel's explanation for it is to have Steve and Tony argue for a whole page....
@War Killer: LOL xD
" @Clara Mass said:I like how the Registration Act is thrown out like nothing. Marvel obviously has no idea how a legal system works." I just feel like Civil War was retconned "It feels like it, from what it seems, Marvel's explanation for it is to have Steve and Tony argue for a whole page.... "
" @War Killer said:At least when Brubaker had Steve pardoned in Who Will Wield The Shield, it made a little more sense because he was Captain America and the country fell apart when he died, but at the end of Siege it was just forced and could be seen coming a mile away." @Clara Mass said:I like how the Registration Act is thrown out like nothing. I would also like to see my Avengers with less x-men in them, yes i do love seeing some x-men appear for an arc or two, but being members.. idk, it only feels right to see Beast on there.
" @War Killer: Also, where the hell has Storm been at these past few years? Like ever since she married Black Panther, we get to see less of her especially in the x-men titles -_____- "I forgot they even had a Black Panther book. I'm glad Storm's appearing in X-Men #2 though :) I really can't wait until Kitty gets back on her feet! :D
Avengers and New Avengers kind of stink anyway. I already dropped Avengers and I only read New Avengers for the Thing, so the book is alright if you don't take it seriously. Secret Avengers is the only good one so far.
I like where the Red Hulk is going in the Hulk books. I've never liked Ross so much. I don't see him being a good team player though. I bet he is just on to suck the gamma out of that future Hulk/Maestro and then he disappears. It seems like an easy way for crappy writing to end a story line.
In other news Brian Bendis ordered a grilled cheese sandwich @SDCC and 10 million bloggers hit the net to complain about their hate of grilled cheese sammiches.
I think its a good replacement for Ares. I liked having a power house in comics like him, I think red hulk is going to be just like that.
I'm just assuming this 'll be temporary. They could use Red Hulk to take on the Elder Hulk from the future.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
" I think its a good replacement for Ares. I liked having a power house in comics like him, I think red hulk is going to be just like that. "The Avengers already have Thor and Iron Man, how many powerhouses do they need?
Now looking upon this again, this is really just Bendis giving himself another Sentry. Even if they wanted to "redeem" Red Hulk, he shouldn't be on the Avengers, he should be on the Thunderbolts...ya know, the team that badguys go to when they are trying to redeem themselves -___-
Ok a few things, for anybody who said Rulk should be on Thunderbolts, don't forget Juggs will be in the new line up, they don't need 2 powerhouses, yet alone two of em. Rulk is a strange addition to the Avengers but has anybody thought that he's being put on the team so that he can be watched. I mean he went toe to toe with Iron Man and Thor and neither of them is stupid so the idea of bringing on a villain to keep an eye on them and turn them good is something they have done in the past (Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, and Wonder Man) for examples. Don't look at it as a cheap trick but more of a good story line.
I mean how will the Avengers work with a Hulk that thinks and follows orders?
Will Rulk stay faithful to his new team?
Is there some unseen motive for him joining (this could be on both sides)?
Will other Villains get offered membership?
Will he finally get a real code name?
Fact of the mater is that though their are others who could honestly fit this role(I personally would like to see Blue Marvel or A-Bomb join) better, you have to admit this new member brings up some great questions.
