I'm pretty happy to hear this. Josh Holloway is one of my favourite TV actors and plays badasses great. I'm gonna echo everyone else and say that he'd be a great Hawkeye, and I hope he gets that role.
Captain Marvel could be introduced if the Avengers used the Skrulls as the bad guys, and introduced the Kree as some background characters. Then they could bring in Captain Marvel as a Kree soldier who ends up staying as an Avenger. Almost like the Kree representative. But the Skrull/Kree movie should be saved till maybe 3 or 4, heck even 2. Not Avengers 1. In my opinion. But he could work as Captain Marvel, I just think his introduction would be its own movie.
Hawkeye's nice, but I'd flip if he were the Winter Soldier. He's a fantastic actor who could pull off all the conflicted emotions of Bucky Barnes. I would completely flip if that's where they went with him.
Yeah i think Hawkeye would be great for him. And I wish they could have Loki in this movie but since the Thor movie is coming out first chances are Loki will have already been a bigtime movie villain by then.
I initially went with Clint Barton because I only considered an avengers movie, but, with the X-Men First class starting to show the cast, and knowing the age range of the actor that will play Xavier's part... what about Magneto at the same age? I think he could do it very well. Edit: In fact he is 10 years older than McAvoy, but at their range of age (31 against 40) there isn't a great physical difference with a good makeover.
Xavier and Magneto weren't old at that time, they always looked older than they were because of one being completly bald and the other one having white hair, but they had this characteristics since their youth. And with the x-men as teenagers , the age range will fit very well with Holloway.
If they ever do another X-film in the present instead of the 70s/80s, I STILL want to see him as Gambit. But for the Avengers, I think he'd be awesome as Winter Soldier, it's just too bad they cast Sebastian Stann as Bucky instead of someone a lot younger to make the change a bit more believable. He’d also make a fantastic Hawkeye, but I’ve had my heart set on Jeremy Renner ever since those rumors popped up. I also think he’d make a great Bullseye, and hey, Ultimate Hawkeye is pretty much Bullseye anyway ;)
i defiently see him as hawkeye if they can't get jensen ackles. they both have that charm to them. but josh has the blonde hair..not that i'm picky or anything lol now if they just say they'll have mockingbird in there..... =)
oh or someone else for hawkeye- might be paul walker... okay i'm done i need to go bk to reading the hawkeye and mockingbird comic. god is it great ...
I believe this is where this is headed sifting thru plenty of speculation.... Jeremy Renner is sposed to be Hawkeye...Nathan Fillion is sposed to Antman...Neal McDonough is Dum Dum Dugan..the way they are not putting the info out there...maybe they are going to spring the character on us...to signify the spin off movie...so since the Skrulls/Kree are part of this movie..the Captain Marvel sounds like an idea but he does look the part of Sentry...but does the Sentry fit into this storyline?
so after some more digging..it looke like Ms Marvel might pop up in the Avengers flick...either Alice Eve or Malin Ackerman are looking to be casted as the part...so if that continues to proove itself true...Captain Marvel might be that role Josh Holloway is going to bring to the big screen...considering Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel have anything to do with each other...not a big Ms/Captain Marvel officinado so forgive the ignorance if my assumption is off
