Without throwing out list ideas that has already been filled out (I can agree with most of them) I would just like to touch on a central command idea. Going with the three teams I would put the Leaders as Luke Cage (mobs/ground actions), Iron Man (Terrorists), and Dr. Strange (off earth actions). But if they were each a separate team, the Avengers would just be a loose confederation of super hero teams with no cohesion. That is why I would suggest having Captain America as his usual spot as Leader of the Avengers but the three team leaders (Cage, Iron Man, and Dr. Strange) would create an advisory council that serves under Cap. They would serve as the executive Council of sorts that would give direction to the Avengers. This would also give actual Leadership to the Avengers Rosters and not just a breakout loose construction. Just my thoughts.

I don't know that I'd pick the same three leaders that you did, but I do like the central command idea. I don't know that I'd pick the same three leaders that you did, but I do like the central command idea. That was my idea for Cap. If it was just for his combat ability I would have him in the street level fighting team or possibly a member of the 2nd tier. But lets be honest, Captain America is a great fighter, one of the best without superhuman abilities; but the key strength of Cap is his leadership and combat brilliance. If he was the over all leader, it would serve the Avengers the best more than it would if he was just stuck on one team.

The other leaders I gave because I thought they would be best, but obviously I don't share the same opinions as everyone. I do stand by putting Iron Man in the leadership role against terroristic threats and the like. To me at least, he is just the natural choice.

I like your team member choices, and running on your idea of the 2nd tier being the "core team", I saw that members that you chose could move around in the team ranks. I like the idea of the Global Team being the biggest and the most influential. It could be an interesting roster to just make the 1st and 3rd teams out of the 2nd team roster. Sort of like squads to a platoon, as it were.

yeah, I figured team one would be an extension of team two, so they would probably overlap the most, whereas team three would be out on their own jurisdiction and mainly only interact with the main team occasionally.

I also wanted to make the main team just big enough that if any of the characters were unavailable (since, most of them have their own books) there would still be a full team in place to fulfil it's function.

also, I kinda made the third team out of characters who would seem a bit redundant if they were around the earth teams all the time. Havoc, Photon, Hyperion and Valkyrie, for example, could easily get pushed into the background if they were on the main team, but would get a chance to really shine in their own jurisdiction. Havoc especially, would probably be a far more notorious leader in a galactic book. Plus I like that they look a bit like the Justice League ;)

I also sort of like the idea that the main team has a group of specialists with whom they consult on certain issues, that aren't directly associated with any team.
