Avengers Organise!!!!

If you were in charge of the Avengers how would you organise them?

what kind of headquarters would you use, who would you put on tthe team/teams, how would you distribute them?

what kind of transportation would you use, what would be your main priority? where would your team be based?

Well, If I was Steve, I'd change a few things.

Main Aims

1) To be the premier Superhero team, who deal with all major threats on a global level. Whether they be Scientific, Mutant, or Mystical I'd make sure that the Avengers were there to handle it.

2) Alongside being a Super Team, I'd make them into a definitive organization with links throughout the Superhero community. So, It'd really be Avengers Inc. With divisions being set up to make progress in Science; To ensure the train and nurture up and coming superheroes and to monitor international relationships and deploy representatives to all major political powers, whether they be on Earth or in the galaxy. (So I'd have an Avengers representative for Wakanda, the Shi'ar, Britain, Kree ect, ect)

Primary Avengers Team

In my opinion, the Avengers have got to be able to deal with everything, and anything and thus, should be the most powerful and diverse team on the planet. As such, the line up would be as follows.

Captain America (Steve Rogers)

Iron Man

Thor

Ms. Marvel

Justice

Songbird

Crystal

Ares

As you can see, I captalize on some mainstays, but add some new big guns such as Ares for physical superiority, Justice too play controller with his Telekinesis, and Crystal as a diverse wildcard. Noticably, I feel Steve is more of an icon, and better field leader than Bucky, which is why I chose him to be Captain America.

The Academy

Yeah, I'd keep the Academy around. It definitely has its uses, and in a similar manner to the initiative, I'd try and nurture as many up and coming superheroes as possible. Although, unlike the Initiative, I'd keep it optional. You'd only have to join if you want too. As far as Heroes I'd try to get interested in it, I'd keep the current Academies, and try and recruit The Runaways, Young Avengers and the Young Allies to encompass the entire child superhero quota. Whilst there, they'd learn all the basic skills to being a superhero, such as controlling their powers, how to adapt to living a dual life and of course, I'd teach them the average syallbus for an American Highschool.

Diplomatic Relations

Whether Earth likes it or not, The Avengers are at the best of times, their most prominant diplomats (Note. See Kree/Skrull War, ect). I'd appoint diplomats for most major powers. Such as, Noh-Varr being ambassador to the Kree. Black Knight representing the Avengers on MI:13 ect, ect. Furthermore, I'd form another secret society like The Iluminata comprimised of representatives from The X-Men (Cyclops), Asgard (Thor), Mysticism (Dr. Strange), Wakanda (Black Panther), Britain (Captain Britain), Atlantis (Namor).

Science Branch

I'd also enginneer a scientific branch of the Avengers Inc. that would focus as a cable to working together to push mankind forward. Again, I'd take the greatest minds of earth and have them meld ideas and projects. Main contributers would be, Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Tony Stark, Sage, T'Challa, Amadeus Cho

Transportation

Quinjet

Cloak (For Black Ops Team)

HQ

As a multinational corperation, I'd have various safe houses all over the globe, but the main HQs would be

Avengers Tower (Stark Tower. Main Avengers team base)

SHIELD HELICARRIER (Mainly used for diplomatic interactions)

Avengers Mansion (Home to the Academy)

Bucky's Apartment (HQ for the Black Ops unit.)

Black Ops

Finally, I recognize the fact that the Avengers have to stay spotless. So a Black Ops division would be set up to do the nasty things that the Public Apperance of the Avengers, just wouldn't sanctions. They'd report directly to Me, and as a precaution, I'd employ a Telepath (Probably Emma Frost) to wipe their minds after each mission, as a means of stopping any info ever getting out about my dirty work but still imprint a understanding of each other that'll allow them subconciously to work together. The team would consist of..

Winter Soldier

Hawkeye

Black Widow

Spider Woman

Quake

War Machine

A harsh means of controlling the team, but a neccessary one.

So, I noticed that in some ways, this is a lot like the Initiative approach, and it vears off at times from being a strictly Avengers unit, but I feel in light of what happened over the last few years, it'd be extremely important to make sure that absolutely nothing escapes my grasp. Remember, I'm Steve Rogers, so I wouldn't abuse my power, but at the same time, I'd do alot to keep the earth safe, and keeping my fingers in many pies is, in my eyes neccesary.

Cosmic Threats

Cosmic Powered and God-like beings should be in the Main team, and a Team Leader.

The Main Objective in this team is global threats.
The headquarters for this team is going to be a satellite.

Global Threats

The ones with awesome killing skills, in the secret operations team, also the ones with mental powers.

The Main Objective in this team is kill/found threats against contries.
The headquarters could be variable and temporal.

Population Threats

The ones with awesome fighting skills in the Street Level team, also I would put someone with superpowers.

The Main Objective in this team is defeat the main threats for the general population
The headquarters could be little bunker.

Mutants/Metahumans

The mutants/metahumans should be distribuded in each team according their powers and how are they able to help in each team.
There should be at least one teleporter in each team.

Interesting blog. I'd probably take my cue from Force Works; a proactive team over a re active team. In terms of the actual team, i think skill should be given favour over pure strength, so maybe a few 'street wise' characters such as Jack Monroe, Cloak, Dagger or Solo (weird choice i know). However, power is still important, so maybe archangel, hulk or ms marvel for bruisers. In terms of support options a magician is a necessity, so perhaps Hellstorm or Voodoo. For transport, avoid quinjets or conventional forms of transport, as they cost millions and always get destroyed. Perhaps teleporter technology based of Deadpool's equipment? For a HQ a moving base would be vital in order to avoid reprisals from angry, death machine wielding supervillains, so a hovering city with a ray gun would be cool. Apart from that, the main priority would be to avoid losing members or 'shudder' deaths....

This team would be would take care of world size threats there main HQ would be a floating base that's at the edge of space, its not quite a space station but its close. thay would teleport into action when needed, also thay would split the team down if there are multiple threats with Ms Marvel and Iron man being team leaders.

BLACK OPS TEAM: Luke Cage
   Iron fist
   The Punisher
   Moon Knight
     Black Widow
   Deadpool
   Cloak
   & Dagger
This team would take care of the more secret operations Luke Cage would be the team leader they would be based on the Shield Helecarrier and would use cloak as transportation, all members of this team work solo or in pairs but do team up if the mission requests it.

   Quasar
   Silver Surfer
   Gladiator
   The Protector (Noh-Varr)
   Beta Ray Bill
   Black bolt
   Adam Warlock
This team deals with the cosmic level threats they travel the universe on a a Modified Kree battle ship, they have a beacon  on the ship that can be reached by earth anywhere in the universe for times of grate need.

Another thing to consider is a secret prison where I'd put bad guys. It's not safe out there. But if they were in a cell somewhere in the Tower, I would be sure the world is safe.

I chose a team of mostly powerhouses, that were emotionally and mentally stable... Each has a stellar record of service, and enough finesse to apply a gentle touch when needed.

I would keep the coastal theme that was popular a while ago. Originally there were the Avengers, West Coast Avengers, and Great Lakes Avengers. The coastal theme is nice, how about expand the team and have branches around the world. Each continent should have at least 5 different teams.

I'm actually really enjoying the way way the team is set up in Avengers right now, and I'm loving new Avengers, but for the sake of this thread, I've been thinking

Avengers this would be the core team, based out of the tower.
