I was just reading my Avengers #1 and found my own picture in the "I Am An Avenger" two page display.
Column 1, Row 7
(Columns go left to right, starting with 1 ending with 21)
(Rows go top to bottom, starting with 1 ended with 16)
Who else made it into the comic book? I feel sorry for those pictures under the logo. There's about 250 photos in the book (some are covered by the logo and some space was cut out for text, etc.).
Does this count as my 1st Appearance? :)
From Avengers #1
Avengers
Team » Avengers appears in 7704 issues.
The Avengers are Earth's mightiest heroes and foremost super-team... "There came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth's mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, the Avengers were born - to fight the foes no single super hero could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now, the Avengers Assemble!"
Avengers Assemble! Who's picture made it into Avengers #1?
Yeah I did!
There I am:
I think it was a bit silly of them to go and stick a huge 'I AM AN AVENGER' over some of the pictures though. (Also, I've dyed my hair since that picture was taken)

I think they may have used their own photos for under the logo. If you look at the pictures in the seam, I'm pretty sure those are Marvel writers and artists.
Dude, that's awesome!
Row 11, column 19
Not a very good picture, now that I think about it a little more. Reflection from my glasses almost completely covers my eyes, and it makes me look like my hairline is receding. Damn cell phone cameras.
Still, it was cool to show to my friends.
Super odd.
Today I was in the comic store talking to my friend about my picture being in the comic, and she suggested I hunt everyone involved down and get them to sign it, and some guy from nowhere jumps in with 'You can start with me. Bottom right.' Sure enough, there he was.
What're the chances?
I didn't make it into Avengers number 1 but literally just got my notice about Secret avengers #1 so I guess tomorrow will be my first appearance... HAHA

Columns get there name from the columns that held up buildings in ancient Rome and Greece :D
I thought they were serious about a smiling photo... maybe a quarter of the people on there are smiling. :)

That's what we're saying. Columns are horizontal (like the columns in Rome/Greece). It's just like a table, spreadsheet, formation, etc. Columns go top to bottom and are counted left to right. That's the standard for any grid anywhere.
A1 B1 C1
A2 B2 C2
A3 B3 C3
In above example, A, B, C are columns. 1, 2, and 3 are rows. B3 means Column B, row 3.
