My bet's still on the Badoon, but other popular guesses are Atlanteans, Dark Elves, The Korbinites, Kang's army. But who is Loki really leading?

i think this may be from one of the realms of asgard
Yea a lot of people think it's 'dak elves'. But the machinery and flying motorcycles and giant snake robot things seems out of place to be from one of the realms,
Well at the end of Thor, Loki falls off Asgard, right? It could be a race from Asgard, but I doubt it. I think it will be another "alien" race of which Loki will promise rule of earth or something, just to help with his plans. The Badoon is a good guess. I was under the assumption they were going to be Skrulls until today, so this is all new to me.

They look like deformed Dark Elves.
Yea, that's one of the bigget theories, which make sense. But do they use any machinery..?

They do sort of look like Korbinites. Woo. That would be so awesome. Esp. a Beta Ray Bill cameo.
That's what I was thinking.. but I really doubt they'd go that way in a movie, it's throw everything out of whack :p
I'm guess the Beta Ray Bllls (Korbinites). It makes sense to tie them to Asgard in some way.
They're definitely not Atlanteans... I do like the Kang theories though. I hope that's what it'll end up being

@SexualLobster: The Asgardians use technology..why not the Dark Elves?
Flying motocycles..? :p
@SexualLobster: Not entirely sure, but it could be a result of the Cosmic Cube.
@Gambit1024: I do like the theories of Kang's army, a potential series villain?
@Deranged Midget: Honestly, I think Kang or Thanos will be this movie's real villain. Having just Loki seems dull since we've already seen him before in Thor. Plus, Marvel Studios is quite adamant about not revealing the specific name of the aliens. If that's so important to them, it has to give away the plot, or the actual villain, right?
Of course, this is just a theory, much like I'm almost positive Agent Coulson is Mar-Vell.
@Gambit1024: I'm honestly hoping that Kang is the series villain. While Thanos hopefully does make an appearance, I hope him not to be a central character.
@Deranged Midget: I think this one will be Kang/Loki, the next one's Ultron, and to round out the trilogy is Thanos.
@Gambit1024: Gah, I'd rather have Ultron as a series finale than Thanos with perhaps the second film introducing Hank Pym.
@Deranged Midget: Dude, if they introduce Ultron before Hank Pym's name is even mentioned, I'm gonna be pissed. I still stand by the statement that it should have been Hank and Jan, and not Clint and Natasha.
@Gambit1024: I'd rather have Clint and Natasha and let them establish a film for Hank and Jan before throwing them into the Avengers, but yes, I would trip balls if Ultron shows up first. I don't think they will mess that up since they played it correctly in EMH.
@Gambit1024: As do I, my hype for Avengers flattens Dark Knight Rises solely on the reason that I know DKR will be excellent but I want Avengers to succeed.
I imagine if they'll at least hint at Hank in this film or have a cameo (like hawkeye in Thor).
But even if they don't, why can't Hank be introduced in like an opening scene and have him finally finishing Ultron, then sometime within an hour Ultron escapes, and creates vision all in one movie? with a 2-3 hour timeframe I think it could be done nicely.

No, it's not the skrulls !
It was cofirmed a while ago that it will be a 'less established' group of aliens/beings from the Marvel universe, not Skrulls, and not the Kree

Why would it be Kang's army?
Why? I don't know. I don't really think it is, like 5% at most IMO :p
But he was a main bad guy in a good chunk of the avengers earth's mightiest heroes tv show, so a lot of people are taking that as a reason. Popularizing the character in the series for the sake of his being in the movie makes sense, kinda.
Again, I doubt it, but that's like, the best idea I could think of :/

I understand wanting to referece other villains, like Kang,Thanos, and Ultron, but I don't know why anyone would say Loki has Kang's army.

No idea, but a lot of people believe it to be so.
