Before we get into this, let me just say that Adrien Brody got shockingly huge for PREDATORS.  I ended up liking that movie more than most “predheads” but I was just as skeptical as anybody about the Pianst stepping in for Schwarzenneger - - and he definitely stepped up the plate. The guy’s got an impressive range, to be sure. So, even if this rumor proved to be bogus, I’d still be up to see Brody donning the helmet with the antennas for a turn as Ant-Man.

Rumors like this seem to rise up on the internet like ghosts curling out of the ectoplasmic ether. 
 So, Bleeding Cool relayed a series of seemingly-corroborating tweets from AMC’s Script to Screen and Latino Review saying that Brody was either "most likely" starring in Edgar Wright’s ANT MAN movie or, at least, his agency was actively pursuing the role for him. Then, the Playlist set the record straight, saying they’d found out that Brody wasn’t involved in the project after they consulted some “sources very close to the project.”

So, just as soon as the ant hill rises, a squirrel runs along and stamps it out… == TEASER ==

Or something like that.  I still say I’d like to see Brody eventually playing one of these heroes. He comes off in interviews as actually enjoying doing movies like KING KONG as much as something like THE DARJEELING LIMITED, which is refreshing given how often actors can be so reluctant about their bigger projects. He even took his part in PREDATORS seriously enough to go on some insane seclusion regimen to prepare for the role. Nathan Fillon’s name has already been jockeyed for Ant-Man, but I see this working out easily enough to have one play Hank Pym and the other play Eric O’Grady (or maybe even Scott Lang!)

What say you, Comic Vine maniacs? Could see Brody hoping for a ride on a winged insect?

I honestly don't like the actor, I do know he is a terrific actor, I've just never liked a movie he's been in other than King Kong...

I heard that Edgar Wrights script is about Scott Lang or O'Grady, so if hes up for AntMan in Edgar Wrights movies he will be Lang or Ogrady and not Pym.

I would still like to see Nathan Fillion as Hank Pym, but I could see Brody as Pym or Scott Lang. I saw him in The Pianist, and tried - unsuccessfully - to make it all the way through King Kong (it's three hours long!)...Predators might be a Netflix pick...

I'd be cool with that, think he would make an even batter Namor though.

I also went to see the Predators movie and was SHOCKED at how ripped Brody got for the roll- obviously he takes his acting roles VERY seriously. He was very believable as Royce, I'll give him that as I would have never picked him for an action flick guy. So I have to give the guy his props for proving me wrong. In the end I'd be fine with him as Hank Pym.

I could see this.  His best roll was in Summer of Sam.  Real good actor.  He'd be good in the Avengers too.  Id say he'd be a good Bruce Banner but the Hulk with a huge nose is not a good idea.

i was pleasantly surprised by brodys performance in predators, he did really well, or at least he did better than expected

I can see him fit as Eric O'Grady, who is the current Ant Man. Even though he doesn't look the part, I get the O'Grady vibe from him. But not as Pym.

Rick Moranis should be Hank Pym because he has previous experience with shrinking devices :P  In all seriousness, yeah I guess I could see Adrien Brody as Hank Pym.  I actually haven't liked a single movie he was in but I do recognize his acting talent.

The Avengers movie is going to be huge.
Watch out The Dark Knight.
