Like their recent X-Men list, Marvel.com is making a top 50 list for the Avengers.

Here are the top 50-41.

I don't get how Hawkeye is number 2. Hulk and Scarlet Witch should be higher, I think.

I'm guessing Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man and Wasp are all making it into the top 10.

My objective, all time (but not necesarrily my favorites) would be: Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkey, Antman, Wasp, Vison, Scarlet Witch, Wonderman, Hulk. (not in order)

Black Panther would be the one that I would potentially bump one of the above for, but not sure which....

I'm guessing they'll throw Black Widow in there because of the movies, but she wouldn't be in my top 10.

Is this just regular Avengers or does this count New Avengers and Secret Avengers and all the other sub teams?

Can't imagine the emboldened ones not being in the top 5.

Seeing that Iron Fist Jessica Jones (New Avengers) and Ares (Mighty Avengers) are on the list im guessing that they will be including all incarnations of the Avengers. And Cap should be the first one on the list hes lead so many incarnations of the Avengers and just been associated with the team since almost the start.

I feel compelled to try my own list, biased, of course, by my own preferred Avengers storylines:

Notes on my list:

• I tried not to cleave to close to more recent storylines, but ultimately, there's just a lot of Avengers I don't care about because they were big when I wasn't reading.
• I skipped a lot of characters that felt like they belonged more to other franchises and demoted a number of them I think of Avengers now but really haven't been for very long.
• No Wolverine.
• No Spider-Man.

If the X-Men list was any indication, this isn't going to be pretty.

Probably will be bullsh%t like the X-Men one.

Cap, Thor and Iron Man have to be the top 3. They'll probably choose Cap as the predictable number 1, though.

Hulk is definitely up there but don't be surprised if he's not top 5. He's a founding member but that didn't last long and he's been up against them almost as often as he's been alongside them.

OMG what a minute, they had the two best X-Men tied in 5th?

Well, disregard what I said then. Apparently Luke Cage will be Marvel's greatest Avenger -.-

If it comes out like the other one... I expect Wasp to the #1

These aren't necessary my favourites but is my objective view (or as close as I can get) the top ten Avengers.

1. Cap America - He is the All time leader so there.

2. Thor - Is noble and is often seen as vice leader.

3. Iron Man - Even though he over the years has have many disagreements with the Avengers is still one of the founding members.

4. Hawkeye has been leader on the West Coast Avengers and a steady member for many years.

5. Henry Pym - He has over the years had many different roles: Ant-man, Giant-man and Yellow Jacket and has been there for many years. Also a founding member.

6. Wasp - The relationship with Henry Pym has been one of the more notable (for good and bad) and has been a long time member

7. Vision - His battle between being an android and a human with feelings and his love for Wonda is some of the better memories I have with vision. A long time member.

8. Scarlet Witch - Even though she started as a villain she has over the years proved herself and had numerals story centric about she and her brother Quicksilver especially doing the 80's

9. Quicksilver - She Scarlet Witch

10. Hulk - even though he rarely is on the team he is a founding member.

The count. Jessica Jones joint New Avengers is on the list.

Well it was mostly pretty good, but Hawkeye takes 2nd instead of Thor?! Seriously?

Yeah I'm sure that we sit around wondering where the world would be without the "second greatest" Avenger Hawkeye. Pff give me a break. Thor has saved the world in infinitely more ways than Hawkeye. The Avengers need Thor WAY more than they need Hawkeye. Sorry but it's the truth. Thor is easily second behind Cap.

Alright that's my rant. I'll leave it alone now.

Havok is in the top 50? He's been an avenger for just about a year so I don't know about him being on the list.

Cool that Hawkeye got second place.

Jarvis is too high on the list. Hawkeye should not be number two that should be either given to Iron Man or Thor. And Luke Cage should have been in the top 10 not black widow. But i did enjoy seeing Herc, Beast and Wonder Man making the top 20 that they got right.

Oh well not to far from my list. Personally I think Hawkeye is to high on the list.
