    Avengers vs. X-Men

    Story arc »

Marvel Comics' 2012 event. As a repercussion from the events that took place in The Children's Crusade, Fear Itself, Schism, and X-Sanction, the Avengers and X-Men go to war over the return of the Phoenix Force.

Why didn't Scott just tell Cap about the future Cable saw?

Instead of just blasting him (that was pretty irrational)? I'm pretty sure he would have backed off.

It feels like the whole X-Sanction storyline wasn't even important in this storyline, even though that was the reason why this battle between the X-Men and Avengers got started in the first place.  I think this story would have been better if they had actually talked about what Cable saw in the future.

Scott blasted Cap because Cap threatened him. As for him not telling Cap about Cable's intel, it's because we wouldn't have an event if he did and if they came to a compromise.
