ok, so simple thread. this event is big (like all events in marvel) and there will be casualties. i'm giving viners the opportunity to call the deaths, who will bite the dust, and if you give a reason all the better (logic please). but to not make this boring you can just say you would like to bite the big one (no logic).

me personally, i would like hope to die. she has been promoted so much up until her appearance and then......puff nothing and to top it all off kurt dies. WTF?!?!. i would have been cool with if was worth it but most of the time she is just a chick with a gun or a rogue wannabe. nothing original. so thats me. have at it yall.

It doesn't matter who dies because they'll be back a month later.

I think it was coming up on a year this summer. And technically he never died (which seems to be the new rage as opposed to actually dying).

I hope Frenzy bites the dust.

Characters aren't the problem, writers are.

It eludes my understanding as to why she's getting so much panel time these days.

These days I assume that he's Spider Jerusalem moonlighting as an X-man. But all in all I don't have strong feelings for him one way or another. And if anyone has to go I'm hoping Hope too. I really liked Hope in Cable, but the character she's become is so off base from what she was at the end of that book (to me at least) that I'd like to see them either kill her off or make some drastic changes that actually have long lasting consequences. I think I'd actually like to see the X-men call the Avengers on just sitting out all the previous mutant "almost" genocides over and over again more than I care about a single character's fate. The X-men exist in there own space too much for it to make sense all the time compared with the rest of the Marvel U, so that would be a step in a interesting new direction to me.

He was dead for about 12 or 13 issues of FF, so that's almost a year.

He'll barely even be involved in the event, he'll just pop up a couple of times in the WATX tie-ins to the event.

Oh, great - more comic book "deaths" BORING, BORING, BORING! Why doesn't the "House of Ideas"(?!) do something radical - you know, like they used to once upon a time - and give us a permanent death or two?

Because Marvel has a hard time keeping fans interested in their line without pulling these ridiculous stunts.

I'd like to see Colossus use Rulk's skull as an ash tray of some sort. Let's thin the Hulk population out a bit.

I totally agree with seeing Hope bite the dust. She is plain and lacks a personality...as you said its a bad copy of Rogue trying to be a copy of Jean and the only promising stuff they can think of is giving her the Phoenix Force to keep her interesting...nah just give her death and let her rot. I'd also like to see Scott die, this would not only be a major impact in the X-titles but it would forever satisfy fans who want to see him back with Jean. Let them rekindle their love in the afterlife never to return back, its almost romantic.

I'd like to see Iron Man taken down a peg. Maybe not killed but he should definitely get his ass handed to him
