We're already on the second issue and nobody's actually bothered to try and find out what the Phoenix is there for in the first place. As far as I recall, the Phoenix Force usually has a reason for returning (as I recall, last time it was hungry...), and people usually take the time to find out what that reason is.Okay, to be fair, from it's actions thusfar it seems like we've already skipped the rather benevolent 'song and life incarnate' phase of the Phoenix Force's manifestation (think Jean-i...

StoryThis issue moves the overall story on a little and Bendis is doing his best to make this look like something other than one almighty slugfest. There is an attempt at meaningful dialogue between Cap and Cyclops while they knock seven bells out of each other, but none of this has the impact or polarising effect of the debate that took place in Civil War.
