    The Grand Finale

Summary: The Very long Avengers vs X men finally wrap up in this extra sized issue.

The Good: Ok, the best part of this entire story is simple. At the start of this very very long story we were promised that after it was all said and done the entire landscape of the marvel universe would change, they did that. Not to go into too many spoilers here but things (especially for the X-men side of the universe) has changed drastically and opened alot of avenues for new stories with new directions.

The Bad: It was really lack luster in my opinion, it wasn't that the writing was bad just not very powerful i guess. The ending to this epic slug fest was less then a slug fest, no one else died (sorry thats sort of a spoiler?) which made IMO 11 alot more powerful of a story then this one, and a good portion of the story was a flash back that we honestly could of done without.

The Verdict: if you have paid for the other 11 issues then of course your getting this, if not then well your more then likely not. I think as a whole its a pretty good Cross Over and should be read by any die hard marvel fans because the ending does drastically change things, but you could tell it was written by different writers and they didn't seem to have good communication at times because the characters seemed to flip flop. So maybe if you could find a summary some where and save the money you might be happier :D

I don't see how this could have ended any other way, the finale to AvX was more or less a logical one. I hope we get a break from Cyclops and Emma for a while; he is crazy and she became annoying. I'm not sure I understand why Magneto is now a fugitive; he was one of the good guys all along. Please check my mini-review of Avengers vs X-Men #12 here:http://bit.ly/SOV3DoComments and feedback are always welcome!...

This is the final issue of the big crossover event Avengers vs. X-Men. I have to say the series on a wholehas been quite good and got really good near the end but I still think it would have got a lot more love from other comic book fans and more from me if it was shorter. There hasn't been many (if any) Marvel crossovers in the last few years that have been over 8 issues long and this series well and truly surpassed that. I was happy that this issue we see Adam Kubert back on pencils as his art...
