Avengers: The Crossing
Avengers: The Crossing is a comic book story arc that first appeared in The Avengers Vol. 1 #390
The storyline is about Tony Stark (Iron Man) betraying the Avengers after years of being manipulated by Kang the Conqueror. Iron Man kills Marilla and Yellowjacket in this storyline.
The story begins with Yellowjacket (Rita DeMara) going back time to the present in order to stop Iron Man from killing Marilla and to warn the Avengers. Tony Kills Yellowjacket at the front door of Avenger's mansion, and this incident is witnessed by Luna. The Avengers and Force Works work together to travel back in time to recruit a young Tony Stark to help defeat Kang.

Iron Man promises to Hank Pym and Vision that he will find Marilla's killer. Pietro and Crystal suspect that their daughter Luna may know something about the killer and Mantis sends her two childreen to attack Swordsman.
Iron Man goes crazy, Wasp gets hurt, Luna gets kidnapped and Madame Masque makes her appearance

The conclusion to the Crossing! Iron Man dies saving the Avengers!
Moonraker makes his first appearance, although everyone on the teams to know for quite some time, except for Rachel Carpenter who never remembers seeing him until this issue.
Rachel Carpenter tells Cybermancer and Amanda Chaney that she knows where Viet Nam since everyone else seems not to know if that country really exists. Scarlet Witch, Moonraker and Spider Woman are attaked by Apocryphus. War Machine, U.S.Agent, Black Widow and Hawkeye discuss about the change they see in Tony Stark.
Iron Man kills Amanda Chaney in this issue.
The young Tony Stark tries to adapt to life in the presant, Hawkeye and Masque wonder he is ready to take over as Iron Man so soon. The mind contolled Tony Stark expresses his feelings for Mantis, Quicksilver and Crystal are still panicked over the abduction of Luna by Tuc, and the Avengers face Peter Gyrich. Finally the mind adult Tony Stark attacks the Avengers and comes face to face with his younger self in and armored conflict that fatally wounds the young Stark as Kang and Mantis arrive for the a final showdown.
Tony Stark starts to descend into madness.
