    Loved It 1

I simply loved this Issue. I find it to be the best so far in the Young Avengers arsenal. The art was simply beautiful. So colorful and vivid. The dialogue was fluent and was not overwhelming in any part. The plot was enjoyable and had me at the edge of my seat. Not once did I become confused or lost when the plot took sharp turns. Overall , it was excellent. I think i will invent a time machine to get myself able to read the next chapter as soon as possible.      ...

    Avengers: The Children's Crusade Issue 1 0

Before I say anything else, let me say this. I LOVE Young Avengers. It is by far one of my favorite comics of all time. The original 12 issues were fantastic, and in fact the first hardcover collection I bought was Young Avengers volume 1. I can't begin to tell you how excited I was for this, and thank the lord, I was not disappointed. Heinberg and Cheung are back, and boy does it feel good.  The issue begins with the Young Avengers fighting the Sons of the Serpent, a group devoted to racial and...

    Great Read 8

This was a good comic, I loved the whole concept of the series and the fact they are exploring the 'Scarlet Witch' storyline after all this time, it's something I've been dying to see for a long, long while. The character development of Wiccan is a good story too, exploring his powers more while adding an aura of mystery throughout. It also raises more questions on Scarlet Witch and the depowerisation of mutants, was it really all her doing? or was somebody else involved? - hopefully the climax ...

Hunt for the Scarlet Witch begins 1

After defeating Kang the Conqueror, the superhero civil war, the secret invasion, and participating in the siege of Asgard; you would think that the Young Avengers would get some respect from the older superheroes, but to the Avengers, they are still just kids. After an attack in which Wiccan loses control of his witch-like powers, the Avengers decide to have him tested. They do not want another Scarlet Witch disaster. Having learned the truth about the Scarlet Witch’s meltdown, Wiccan ...

    Young Avengers Assemble 1

Cover At the comic book store this is a cover that will make people want to buy this issue. Story The Young Avengers are fighting some criminals. The Avengers come and Wiccan’s powers go crazy and could have killed them but, did not. The Avengers think it is a good idea for him to stay with them. They are afraid that he may end up like is could be mother Scarlet Witch. Wiccan does not believe that he will end up like that. Captain America tells Wiccan’s parents and the parents allow it. Hulkin...

    Young Avengers Assemble! 0

Sorry I could not help myself with that tittle.  There is just something about the cast of the Young Avengers that reminds me why I got back into comics in the first place.  Writer Allan Heinberg and artist Jim Cheung turn in a masterful fist installment of this nine issue mini series.  The story is solid as ever and touches on a central theme that has run through the pages of the Young Avengers since day one: Are Wiccan and Speed the lost twin sons of the Scarlet Witch?  It is this question tha...

    The Unknown Legacy 0

Not being an overly big fan of the Young Avengers, I passed this up and was a week late when I finally bit the bullet and purchased it after hearing rave reviews concerning both art and writing. The contents were amazing. The story is enthralling and perhaps even more so for someone more familiar with the characters than I. At long last Marvel seems to be setting out to answer questions about the Scarlet Witch's ultimate fate. The visitor at the end of the book cements this. After reading this, ...

    Avengers: Chiildren's Crusade #1 0

I am not sure about anybody else out there but prior to House of M and even looking back now, Scarlet Witch is/has been one of my favourite Avengers for quite some time now. And because of that this is one of the most anticiapated series of 2010. I say that because I know a lot of people feel the same way I do. Not only does this book promise the return of a beloved character, but it also has the return of the Young Avengers in a book that will at least have them hanging around until Dec...

    The Team to Beat: Avengers-The Children's Crusade #1 1

This has been what I have been waiting for with this team.Their team-ups with the Runaways got old and their book getting taken over by another team was pretty weak too.I'm hoping to see some feats in issues to come.I'm in dire need of some credible showings from these characters. I like that they are finally handling the Scarlet Witch situation.I understand why they didn't go at it sooner. If this had happened during Dark Reign or Siege it would have been awful.Seeing speed though reminds me tha...

Surprisingly great addition to Avengers titles 0

Here's the thing, I don't normally read Avengers books. I recently started reading Avengers Prime for the Alan Davis artwork and really enjoyed it as a whole, but I didn't feel like I had to go out and buy every single Avengers book or back issues then and there. Then I happened to read the preview for Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1, following the Young Avengers as they search for the Scarlet Witch, and I just fell in love with it. The rest of the issue does not disappoint.  The book basica...

    Great start!! 0

I have never read any of the Young Avengers books, but was convinced to pick this one up because of all the great reviews.  I must say I am extremely happy I did and cannot wait for the next issue.    The Good There is really a ton to like in this issue.  First off, the characters are very well written and likable.  I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Wiccan and Hulkling.  Second, the art is very pleasing to the eye.  The people are well drawn and the last page is a pretty cool picture.  T...

    Wiccan's Mommy Issues 0

The New 'Scarlet Witch'? We get into the mind of Wiccan, which is a dangerous place not only because of the identity issues he has but because apparently, according to the Avengers, will become the next Scarlet Witch.  The Good  Jim Cheung's art is breathtaking. Everything that he draws is awesome, and this book is no exception. While the art is great and tells amazing stories panel to panel, I have to say that Justi...

Marvel Now Has One Up On DC 3

I am a loyal Teen Titans fan, but I stopped buying both titles out of protest to DC's HORRIBLE treatment towards the team, the death of Lian Harper, and that moron Deathstroke running his own team. I recently bought the House of M hardcover from the library, and reading someone's description of the Scarlet Witch's situation over and certain parallels of Roy Harper's situation, I decided to try this title.  Oh my God why I have I not been reading about this time before?! They are everything the T...

    Avengers:The Childrens Crusade 1

The Good Well let me just say what a great issue this was. We had action at the start with the Young Avengers fighting the sons of the serpent. They fight and then Iron man, Ms.Marvel and Captain America which is Steve (There is a note at the start of the book how they got off to a late start on it).  Wiccan then does this magic stuff which puts the Sons of the Serpents in a coma.  Iron man then tells Wiccan about the Scarlet Witch. Cap,Iron manand Ms.Marvel then want to keep Wiccan for a few te...

    FANTASTIC!!! 3

This is the first issue of the 9 issue young avengers series. The GoodThis is a really great issue and sets everything up nicely and has a really good scene at the start with some terrorist and a nuke and Wiccan what could possibly wrong. But the outcome is the avengers start to worry that they might have another Scarlet witch. This leads to the Avengers taking Wiccan in and then he escapes and then Magneto appears. This was a great issue with some character work and action scenes there are also ...
