Avengers Spotlight # 29 - What's the Point? Tales of the Vault

Hawkeye arrives at a hospital to find a man named Dollar Bill (from Defenders fame) laid up in bed. Dollar was beaten up by thugs working for Dr. Karl Malus. They kidnapped Bill's new cable TV partner Madcap. Dollar specifically asked the doctor to get him Daredevil, whom had help Madcap before, but the doctor called Hawkeye instead. Hawkeye tracked the plates of the van that kidnapped Madcap to a bar called Scuzz and was dropped into a trap laid by Dr. Karl Malus. Hawkeye freed Madcap and defeated the Power Tools (Vice, Pickaxe, Triphammer and Handsaw). Madcap had his arm cut off early in the battle but just reattached it. Malus set a self-destruct code which destroy his base and the club.

Iron Man delivers the new Guardsman Mark II suits to the Vault for deployment. Former escapees are returned to the Vault under the care of the Avengers and Fantastic Four. After the Avengers and the Fantastic Four leave, Iron is disabled by a trap laid by the Wizard. Klaw savagely attacks Iron Man to free the Wizard. Iron Man negates Klaws sound body through constructive interference and Frank Ensign, a guard almost killed in the breakout, defeats the Wizard.
