A Vision of Humanity
THE GOOD
All of it. The art was fantastic, the flow of the panels mesmerizing, the story was great and the writing was spot on. I love how the story of the vision fits the human condition. In general, all we want is to be loved, gain acceptance from our parents and peers and experience life. The Vision's struggle for attention is mirrored quite nicely in the Jan/Hank side-story.
From the beginning we see that Ultron is as cold and unfeeling as his personality should dictate. Always looking for perfection, as he sees his programming is. Creating something that he hopes to be perfect - something that will rid the world of imperfection - humans.Something as simple as a name eludes the character because Ultron wants him to not be bound by labels, nor ever known to the rest of the world. He was created to mindlessly kill imperfection (as defined by Ultron). The problem is, Ultron designed him with a mind - processing - reasoning - everything he would need to construct the ultimate state of imperfection: Humanity.

THE BAD
The top half (gray part) of the cover - it really doesn't fit with the rest of the art. I understand what they were going for, with an "all seeing eye" sort of thing, but it just looks out of place.
THE VERDICT
I loved this one-shot. I wish it went into more detail and that the story was longer, but those hardly detract from the value of this issue. I picked this issue up because I loved the bottom half of the cover. Seriously. I really didn't know much about Vision. I know he was in some of the crossover event stuff that I had read (Infinity Series), but other than that, all I knew was that he was an Avenger. After reading this issue, he is now ranked up there with my favorites!
