They might be giants. No wait, they are giants !

    Review of Avengers Academy #16.

The Story: HANK PYM VS VAGUE EVEN MORE SUPERPOWERED ABSORBING MAN IN DUBAI. THIS SUNDAY. BE THERE !

The Good: In this issue I really felt for Pym, trying to stop Creel and not destroy the city or kill any more innocent people. Also him trying to figure out how to defeat him without taking him to the Microverse so Creel won't destroy it. But the way he incapacitate Creel and Titania is clever. But my favorite part of this issue is at the end where Veil save's the mother of a little girl but gets shot by Sin's forces and kills the pilot and gunman. This works better then what Mettle did last issue because here Veil did what she tought was right and instead of getting a speech given by Tigra wich ircked me last issue. Because one problem I found from  Gage's writing is that instead of using simple images to tell how somebody's emotions he overwrites certain scene's between people. Also I love the coloring on the different gas forms that Veil used at the end of the issue.

The Bad: Yeah im confused, are the chosen supposed to be able to talk normally or should they always talk in runic ? Can't really blame Gage for this but more is this Fraction's fault.

The Verdict: This issue does the whole civilian protection scenario in a tense manner of epic proportion's and im curious how these latest events will affect Veil. Sure the main Fear Itself book may suck but this tie-in sure is good. This is a buy.

Avengers Academy #16 I know that everyone has probably seen the image of hazmat, mettle, finesse, and two new students! I just wanna say I cannot wait to see that unfold and that was personally my favorite piece of news from Marvel's Next Big thing! I'm excited to see why Striker, Reptil, and Veil aren't students anymore. Ok so this issue is just a continuation of Avengers Academy caught in Fear itself. Hank, Justice, and Quick Silver are fighting against Absorbing Man and Titania while the stud...

      Fantastic Second Half 0

For the second issue in a row, Christos Gage magnificently depicts the hardship that is having to make life-or-death calls to defend civilians when you are a superhero.   This situation has come of many, MANY times over the years, but I have never seen it handled so effectively and so heart-breakingly as I have here, with these heroes in training having no choice but to kill some of Sin's minions in order to stop them from firing on innocent civilians.  In the previous issue, I wasn't entirely s...
