They're Growing Up So Fast...

Straight up and to the point, but not very compelling. Not that all covers have to be; this one is better than the last few I have seen from this series, but this one isn't visually stunning, either.
The Good:
The story, as convoluted and as unbelievable as it seems, wasn't that poorly handled. The art was decent enough to get the point across as well, so that was certainly a nice bonus. I also found it sort of amusing that all they did was add a mustache on Striker to make him look like an adult, and just made Veil have a greyer outfit. I find this just a tad bit amusing... Reptil's outcome may also be quite interesting in future issues, as will be future interactions between Hazmat and Mettle.
The Bad:
While it is interesting to see what these characters may be like in the future, I feel it limits future storytelling (though they do give the "this is one of many possible outcomes" cop out line). Furthermore, I feel that this was a weak plot device to illustrate some possibilities for where these characters may go. As others have mentioned, as well, it's extremely hard for me to take that the AA can defeat Korvac but the rest of the Marvel Universe is incapable... really? Sure, we'll go ahead and take your word for it.
Overall:
Not a bad new take on old characters (Korvac, etc.), and further character development for relatively recent ones (the AA). I liked seeing future possibilities for these characters, but I feel that now that all has been laid out on the table, there's not much else you could do with these characters. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I know that Gage has more tales to tell with them, however, so I'll stick around... let's just hope these characters become memorable in time. They're just not quite there yet.
