    Oh Wow!

    Cover:

Great cover.  I really like the colors.  My only complaint is that Thor looks a little feminine.  But it's a really good cover.

    The Good:

The art, the colors (there's a lot of pink due to Korvac's presence, but it actually makes the pages stand out.), the action.  Some of the panels where Korvac is fighting the heroes are awesome, and it gives you this feeling that you are actually watching a pretty epic battle.  I am a huge fan of those!  Also, we left off with the teaser that Janet Van Dyne would be returning, and what we get here is a neat little twist in regards to how that pans out; I was pleased with how that was handled.

    The Bad:

The main thing that bothers me here, even more than in previous issues, is the youth speak.  By that I mean that although we are familiar with the characterization of the six youngsters, some of their dialogue seems cheesy.  It's not bad to the point where it damages the ultimate message and storyline, I just kind of rolled my eyes a few times at the silly comments, especially from Striker.  There's something about his character that I just don't care for.

    Overall:

If you can overlook some cheesy commentary, then you're in store with some great storytelling and much improving art.  This is one of those series that was handled well from the beginning, and truly, it's only getting better.  I have mentioned in many places that I really like when new characters are introduced well, and you get a lot of that from this series.  I really want to see these youngsters actually stick around and not suffer the same fate of the Young Avengers, Runaways, and the Young Allies.

    4.5/5

Since the first issue of Avengers Academy it has been about choices.  Learning to make good ones and recognize the bad and learn from your mistakes.  To prevent this new generation of Avengers from becoming tomorrows monsters they have been given special attention and time and time again we are reminded why.  Some of them have issues with it comes to making good choices.  Half the time they make horrible horrible choices that prove just how much they have to learn.  This issue is no different.  ...
