    We're going to Mars! 1

The first issue of this series was fantastic. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I can't say the same for this second one. Most of the comic takes place in the past, as we see how Steve and Tony convinced each of the current Avengers to join the group. Of course that's a fun thing to see, and, in this case, may even give you a laugh or two, but the pacing is very slow. Nevertheless there's nice piece of dialogue throughout the issue, and certainly was fun to see loads of Marvel characters that I didn't e...

    Get on with it! 0

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a man who likes character driven story and enjoys seeing people interactions. I love that kind of stuff when each character has his or her own personality and we see the clashings of such people but if done too long it can get a bit boring. I love Hickman`s work but for some reason I just didn't enjoy this issue as much as the last. It is still a good book, don't get me wrong, but most of the issue is the Avengers being signed up and the people picked are a ver...

    The Avengers Machine 1

Jerome Opena, once again, delivers STUNNING artwork. Seriously, putting Opena on this big name series was the right choice because he's definitely one of the best artists Marvel has. The colors are so uniquely smooth and subtle, they REALLY help evoke the truly cosmic level epic tone the series is trying to set.Ex Nihilo, despite my frustrations at his admittedly awesome name, is quite the intriguing villain. He actually appears to be the most sane of his group, even as he boasts about godhood a...

    Drop in quality. 0

I really liked the first issue of this series it had a lot of potential and it was a lot of fun so I hoped we would see a little more and it would continue this quality. I hope this series continues its high quality even though it ships two weekly.PlotIron Man and Captain America start to gather the Avengers and they discuss who to ask to join the team. The Avengers are being held hostage on Mars and Abyss examines Thor saying he is a god Ex Nihilo then tells Thor his story of creation. Ex Nihil...

    Expansion 0

This series started off very good, with a brilliant first issue, but unfortunately this issue isn't has good as the first. Jonathan Hickman has however done a decent job of introducing his sci-fi style to this series, and I expect that this slower issue will have a purpose later in the series.PlotThis issue sees most of the Avengers trapped on Mars at the mercy of Ex Nihilo. The issue also shows how Captain America and Iron Man discuss expanding the Avengers, and that other superheroes, and past...

The New Avengers Finally Assemble 0

so after reading last issue, i was very pumped for it. last issue was a very good intro, while this issue is very good at establishing and getting to see how the characters act and interact, which we don't see too much anymore. it's a new Avengers series with infinite possibilities so let's get started.THE GOOD:lemme just say this: Ex Nihilo is a total bad-ass. i mean the villains in this series are just superb and amazing. Ex Nihilo just walks in like a total bad ass, and in this issue we get t...
