Autobots
Autobots is a comic book team that first appeared in Transformers #1
The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are a benevolent race of living machines. They are the protaganists of the hit cartoon and comicbook, The Transformers. They always fight the evil Decepticons to prevent them from taking over the Universe.
The Transformers, often led by Optimus Prime, are a sentient race of robots who are able to transform their bodies from humaniod form into differnt mechanical devices; such a car or a radio.
Following the death of Optimus Prime, Hot Rod (who became Rodimus Prime) became leader of the Autobots by assuming the Matrix of Leadership.
The Autobots are at war with the Decepticons. The Decepticons, often led my Megatron, can also transform into mechanical devices.
Both factions are from the planet Cybertron.
The battle between Autobots and Decepticons grew beyond Cybertron and eventually made its way to Earth.
