No, but she has been very close to dying in the past. At one point in time, she was believed to be dead. It turned out that there was an actor playing Aunt May who was killed while the real May was kidnapped

@amc26:  No dude, Thanos actualy loves Lady  Death and has cursed Deadpool with life since she loves him. I was  refrencing that for comedic effect , the joke was somewhat lost

yeah she's like a goddamn highlander, the only thing that can kill her is for someone like her to chop off her head and take her power, thus the only for her to die is for spidey to chop off her head.

Wait, so she didn't really die?  I thought that she had died, like three times, but they some how retconned that.
I thought he was at her grave in an issue.  I know that they like the idea of Peter on his own, or Aunt May's character dying effecting Peter but then they bring her back because her importance to Peter's world but I thought she actually did die and was brought back.
So they explained her deaths away with clones and stuff?

No I don't think so- I don't think Aunt May would even WANT to be immortal- because she could never be reunited with Uncle Ben in the hereafter.( for the sake of argument of argument call it Heaven). As we saw in "The Picture Of Dorian Gray" or Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles", immortality is in reality a poisoned chalice!

BTW whilst we're on the subject- is Aunt May religious( sorry to keep asking this question about Marvel characters but the whole issue of religion in the MU is an interest of mine)?

    Yes, seems so.

Nah - she isn't immortal. As one Spidey writer explained - Aunt May simply cannot be killed off - because she's simply there to stand in and remind PP/SM of the guilt... the guilt of letting the Burglar go and kill Uncle Ben.

Also - 4 years in this world is 1 years in Comic Book world. Yup!

Yeah, I'm also glad Aunt May is heh "off-limits"..she's a very important part of Spidey's life

Yeah, she's almost untouchable... it isn't Spidey without Aunt May. Although, in comparison to the 60s-70s comic books, I think MARVEL would get away with killing off Aunt May nowadays - it'd be tragic :(

In the comic books (I've gotten really knowledgeable reading the Encyclopaedia, Lol) - (SPOILER ALERT FOR THE COMICS) the Goblin faked Aunt May's death with a genetically modified actress, so, yep... it was simply to mess around with Peter :)

Yeah - it'd be 100 punches to the gut.

That's what's so great about Osborn - he's Spidey's arch nemesis - the guy who's messed around with Pete at every single angle. ASM2... ASM2 underused Goblin so that makes me sad. Well - at least Dehaan was PERFECT.

@theamazingspidey: yeah, Dehaan was great for the part..he did seem like he was underused a bit.. I kinda liked how they fit Harry's story into the Goblin but in the back of my mind I think I was still waiting for Norman Osborn to become the Green Goblin in ASM 2. Yeah, I definitely think Osborn is probably even the top Spidey villain out there..

Osborn's surely my favourite Comic Book antagonist... concerning ASM films, I'm looking forward to the Goblin in future films, although I'd like Harry to maintain the mantle and for Webb and the writers to return to ASM1's quality :)

They should combine both for the next..focus on what really put ASM 1 together in terms of that..I heard Dehaan is going to most likely be in the Sinister Six movie :)

Brief thoughts on ASM 2 for plot.

Gwen going off to London was a start in the right direction. It would be great if you introduced Mary Jane in the movie and not have Gwen die in this one. (I know that eventually it was inevitable..) The way ASM 2 presented the Gwen Stacy arc wasn't bad but the way they were building her up to be she shouldn't have died in the movie, imo.

But yeah me too, know what you mean.
