    Origin

    Atleza grew up in upstate New York with her parents and her younger sister. It was her destiny to become the keeper of reality, making sure the universe does not fall into oblivion. This made her a target for the nihilistic Thanosi, who wished to ensure oblivion.

    Creation

    Atleza was created by Jim Starlin and first appeared in Infinity Abyss #3.

    Major Story Arcs

    Infinity Abyss

    When Captain Marvel and Spider-Man were drawn to her home, the house was placed in a bubble surrounded by nothingness. The two heroes battled against X and a squadron of members of the Nihilistic Sect. Later joined by Gamora, Moondragon and Pip the Troll they were able to defeat the villains.

    Adam Warlock and Thanos arrived shortly after and she was then given the instructions of her new responsibility by Warlock, who had them stored in the Soul Gem. She arrived at the Heart of Darkness beyond the Universe to take the place of her predecessor Altez just in time. Still very young to assume her position, Warlock and Gamora stayed to help raise her.

    Heart of the Infinite

    When the near-omnipotent Pharoah Akhenaten arrived on Earth, Atleza and Warlock became aware of the cosmic significance however could not leave their post. Later when Thanos destroyed the Universe, Atleza, Gamora and Warlock were the apparent only survivors due to residing beyond the Universe.
