There have been two people using the name Asylum. The first was female, the second - Henrique Gallante is a mutant. He retains his powers after M-Day.
The Asylum that was a member of Psionex had abilitys mutch like that of Cloak, with the contorol over Dark Force Matter. This Asylum was geneticly engeneered by Gen-Tec, a company trying to create new super heroes. During a short period of time, when Psionex was trying to reform and become heroes, he teleported into what he beleived to be a gang fight. it was in fact, mearly children playing with water guns, but Psionex did not know that. During the fight, Asylum accedentally killed a boy, before he knew the boy was innocent. He eventualy turned himself over to the police, but never realy got over the guilt.
