At last it's back!
I've been waiting for this book for what seems like forever. I remember when Astro City first appeared on the racks years ago. It changed how I perceived Super Heroes and comics both. Busiek set the bar so high with the original series nothing else has compared since. When I picked up this issue today and sat down to read it, not once but three times, it felt like an old friend had finally come back to visit.
The Good (Really Great): The story is engaging and fun without moving to fast or giving too much away or wasting time rehashing everything that's happened since the first book was published. We see an original character living his life and seeing his children grown after years in the city. It brings everything back to where it started. The writing is amazing as usual and the art is right where it needs to be. The Cover...well its Alex Ross who doesn't love Alex Ross!?
If I could give this book another star for just being amazing I would. But seriously buy the issue and if you haven't read the rest of the run find it, or buy the trades. Busiek deserves it. Its amazing.
