    Average but not Astonishing

like with the last issue of astonishing i reviewed im not going to treat this as a whole arc, just because i cant as ive not read any of the Warren Ellis run prior to issue 29 so here goes:

Again like with the last issue there are moments when the art does feel incredibly good like on the second page the close up of forge is very detailed but ive found that with Bianchi's work he finds one pannel he wants the reader to focus on and it doesnt really have alot of dialogue there which is goodbecause on pannels that are story moving pannels his art takes the back seat and jsut lets the writer tell the story he wants without the reader being distaracted by the art which is a good way to write the books in my opinion the thing though that annoyed me was that when Emma was in Diamond form she just had her clothes in diamond form aswell which just realy bugs the hell out of me, that being said i do think that the way her diamond form looks in this book does work with the art style.

onto the story, this is pretty much a wrapp up story i think there isnt really much that can be said about it and the fact that it had in one of my least favorite x characters (forge) was disoppointing to say the least he just is plain and boring character wise, i dont see why in a book like astonishing they needed to include a character like him but anyway thats the only thing bad i think with the story, having said that about foge he did have a good qute in this issue which was "Emma Frost. I didnt recognise you with your legs together) being an emma fan i didnt like that he said that but in writing and story terms i thought that was quite funny. i cant wait till we get the next arc in my opinion this arc was just for warren eellis to get used to the characters. if you haven read previous issues i wouldnt buy this as u really do need an understanding of what is going on which is why im giving it a 3 out of 5.
