Recruited by Sidewinder, Asp was one of the founding members of the Serpent Society. While in the group she met Black Mamba & Diamondback, the three women became close friends. When the Mutant Registration Act came about Asp went to Canada in hopes of avoiding it. Unknowingly under the control of Llan the Sorcerer she battled Alpha Flight & was defeated. After splitting from the Serpent Society Asp, Diamondback & Black Mamba created B.A.D. Girls Inc..
Powers
Asp constantly generates a type of energy that would kill someone in sustained contact with her. She is able to emit this energy out of her fingertips in varying strengths in what she calls venom bolts. After using all her stored energy it takes approximately an hour to recharge but she can shorten that time by physical exercise. By dancing her "snake dance" she can fully recharge herself in 1o minutes. An accomplished dancer she is very agile & graceful.
