Is a member of the Green Lantern Corps.. He protects sector 312. Edit

Once, Perressen was a world but by Ash-Pak-Glif's time, it had become fragmentary debris. Life existed and was noticed by B'Shi of Suirpalam, a member of the Green Lantern Corps. The off-worlder offered Ash-Pak-Glif the mighty power ring with which to serve the Guardians of the Universe from the world of Oa.

The Corps grew to 3600 strong and was trained until the day came when it would invade the dark world known as Apokolips. Led by Raker Qarrigat, the Green Lantern of Wolsoon, the Green Lantern Corps was handed a brutal defeat by the legions of Parademons and other forces loyal to Darkseid. They had exploited the Green Lanterns' vulnerability to the color yellow and decimated two-thirds of the Green Lantern Corps. Those taken as prisoners, such as Alisand'r of Tamaran, did not survive long.

With their power rings useless and the power batteries greatly diminished by the distance between them and the Central Power Battery on Oa, the Green Lanterns could not hope to win the day with the emerald energy alone. The remaining Green Lanterns gathered weapons from their foes in a counter attack.

The war ended with the arrival of the Guardians of the Universe themselves. They offered a truce to Darkseid. The Guardians and the Corps would leave Apokolips under Darkseid's control, provided he did not interfere with the area of space served by the Green Lantern Corps. Darkseid accepted, with one condition, he would keep Raker Qarrigat as a prisoner on Apokolips.

The Corps bid farewell to their leader and comrade. Ash-Pak-Glif placed one hand on Raker Qarrigat’s head, the other over Qarrigat’s right hand. It would be revealed billions of years later that Ash-Pak-Glif had given Qarrigat a power ring and battery. Whether this was planned by or even known by the Guardians of the Universe or not remains a point of conjecture. The Guardians had expunged the events from the Great Book of Oa.
