    Asgard

Location » Asgard appears in 1548 issues.

Asgard is the dimension that is inhabited by the Asgardians or Norse gods. It is the highest of the nine worlds that make up Norse cosmology. Asgard refers to both the dimensions, kingdom, and city of the Norse gods.

    So Asgard created Marvel world?

I wanted to ask this guestion for some time. In Thor issues there was told that Marvel was created by Asgardian gods and there was a full explanations from 290-300
    (Don't remember specific issues)
So is this canon?  Is Odin like a God to Marvel World instead of god what we think of and he is creator to everything?
I find this kind of weird but I like this kind of angle and somehow it suits for me just fine.

What everyone else thinks about this?

I doubt it's cannon, Odin isn't really a god to the whole Marvel universe. I really hate the idea.

I didn't meaned the god of universe. And also yes there are many gods but Odin was the first one as I remember and he was the creator of Earth. That was shown on Thor middle issues.
Basically he is the creator of Earth. That may sound far fetched but it is the truth. The story was also pretty interesting also.

I still doubt he could do such a thing. He's not omnipotent .

I like how Ultimate Thor is better shown then 616 Thor, in the Ultimate U, you really have no clue about Thor or Asgard, you just have to make guesses, but in 616, Asgard is all weird and you don't know if Odin is the big oh god he's writen to be or just another superpowerful being who's just in the Marvel U

Odin probably can't create the entire Marvel Universe but he did create the 9 worlds and man.

    TO-A-A created the MU.
the Asgard relevance has been stated multiple differant ways.
my favorite was Alex Ross's being existent as an extention of suspension of humanities beliefs.

In vicking mythology, Asgard gods created the world and the Midgard serpent shall bring its destruction. But in the Marvel Universe there are several aproaches to this because it also deals with other mythologies, powerful entities, etc...
The most accepted theory is that the Universe was born in the same day Eternity and Death (along with Galactus) were created.
