The team is trapped and forced to fight an alien gladiator.

It's time for another new episode of Young Justice. That's two weeks in a row after a way too long hiatus. You can see new episodes of DC Nation this Saturday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network. There will be a new episode of Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice.

In episode 37, "Cornered," the team is trapped inside the Hall of Justice for a cage match against a brutal alien gladiator.

Check out the videos sent by Warner Bros. Entertainment and Cartoon Network.

And here's some images from the episode as well.

Despero doesn't act like that... someone of his family?

No, that's Despero.

Despero's ships is totally a Jem'Hadar Attack Fighter from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Is that Duncan wearing the Guardian suit?

Is that suppose to be Skeets?

Question: How can Teen Titants and Young Justic exist at the same time? 90% of each team are the same members???

Edited by jasontodd7

I'm just curious how and if the team will manage to defeat Despero.

Looking on how Despero is moping the floor with captain marvel i can't see good things happening to them..

I wonder who's voicing Despero and L-Ron.

@Mojo65:I loved the end of that ep when you see the ladies get ported in. One of my fav eps. I wish they'd have showed the girls fighting.

They don't exist at the same time. The concept of YJ is that it's an earth where young heroes are place in YJ instead of them forming the TT. So in this earth there is no Teen Titans in existence.

Oh, sure, so now Megan stops mind-raping people.

Is this episode on YouTube yet?

Can they please cancel that Green Lantern cartoon though? It is the worst

This episode guide mentions all the characters in Cornered. Bald teen is Neutron Nathaniel Tryon. The assistant of Despero is L-Ron from the comics where L-Ron used to work for Manga Khan.

They're introducing Static into the series now? Awesome!

I'm glad someone else noticed that too! I doubt he'll be a major character or anything, but it was a nice little Easter Egg having Static Shock in the episode!

I love it, so no.

Dang it, why hasn't anybody uploaded this to YouTube yet?

lol I know right. I mean she's been doing it to people weaker than her the whole time, and finally when an opportunity comes where it is actually warranted she develops a conscience. It took 6 years but she finally developed a conscience at the most inconvenient time.

I've been waiting to see what post-timeskip Billy Batson looks like

Mal was hilarious in this one.

Anyone else notice the similarities between what the Reach are currently doing to what Cadmus did in Justice League Unlimited, I mean as in its the exact same plot just with Aliens instead of Lex/Brainiac running the show

Edited by colonyofcells

Glorious Godfrey is also helping to discredit the Justice League so it has similarities to the Legends limited series.

Every time he opens his mouth,i want him to die(snooty b******.And i f***ing hate the reach. They're clever, and devious.I guess the writers got the desired effect out of me.Like the protagonists, hate the villains.

Man Mal really needs to break up with his girlfriend. She's been blowing him off all season. He needs to become Guardian and stop answering her phone calls (if she ever calls him.)

Also I can't help but wonder if the kids the Reach experimented on are kinda the Young Justice version of the Ultimen that were updated versions of Super Friends characters. Static instead of Juice instead of Black Vulcan, Blue Beetle's friend is named Longshadow like Long Shadow from JLU which was an updated Apache Chief. The other three kids should control wind, water and be an animal shapeshifter.

Yes, the character with scarf on is El Dorados updated persona...actually, the scientist that works at Taos is Professor Derado...and in one of the trailers, the kid with the scarf is teleporting him out of harms way. So its basically the Asian girl is a modified Samurai, Static is Black Lightnings update, Tye is Apache Chief, and the other kid is El Dorado. The ones who turn into water and the shapeshifter were the wonder twins who I don't think are going to appear anytime soon.

Nice, I can't wait. Plus it's interesting that they snuck Black Lightning into the same episode where they reveal that the kid the reach captured is Static. I wonder if he'll volunteer to be Virgil's mentor.

It would be appropriate, I am just curious to see how they are balance the story telling with all these characters, they are doing pretty good so far, but the roster continues to grow apparently.

It was an okay episode. It delayed the story, but it was cool to see Mal as Guardian. That was hilarious!

I'm a little concerned about the roster too. I enjoy most of the new characters but it might be too much. I would say they should just start doing two or three series split off but with the time it takes for episodes to come out that would just make it worse.

The episodes are actually done in the normal amount of time it would take one to do an animated show....everything that has to do with the insane scheduling and hiatuses is all Cartoon network. I agree though, on a normal network the show might be approved to get a spinoff.

I guess that's true. Most animated series do like 13 episodes a season so we would be on season 4 of Young Justice if they didn't do so many episodes per season.

Yeah, the show debuted exactly two years ago and all we have is a season and a half......how sad is that. Looking at something like the Star Wars which usually has a whole season per year.

Is Blue Beetle's friend Tye supposed to be Apache Chief because that's what he looks like to me.

That's the theory. Ever since they said his name was Longshadow I suspected that at least.
