Now that the introductions are out of the way, here are the four solicited covers to help inspire you.  You can see the 'evolution' of the characters with four chosen outfits.  Four is a lot to ask for, but if you feel up to the challenge then please try it!  Otherwise, a minimum of two poses & outfits is required; they can be any old appearance, plus your take on what the character looks like now.  Only one entry per person, so don't just pick any old character... make sure it's someone you know & love!

The Prize 

This is the issue in question: (Uncanny) X-Men #114.  There are a lot of creases in the covers and the paper is soft to the touch, like paper money that's been in circulation for a few years.  However, the print quality is absolutely pristine.  I've compared both copies and they're identical.  And if anyone isn't sure about the large price tag for 12p on the cover, then please check out my blog on  When British Comic Books Were Really American Comic Books .
   

Deadline

Here's the World Clock.  GMT is Greenwich Mean Time, which is 5 hours ahead of East Coast America & 8 hours ahead of West Coast.  After that, my geography stinks, so you'll need to use the World Clock to figure out what time 17:00 GMT is for you ;)  should everything go according to plan (if there aren't any power cuts or random 'acts of god') then voting will be posted soon after. 
 

Frequently/Previously Asked Questions 

• How do we submit the drawing?   Where do I send my submission? 

This Contest will follow the basis of the usual competitions in the Artist Show-Off Forum.  You'll need to upload your image to your Gallery & then post that image in a comment below (in this thread).  When you 'insert' the image, select large.   I'll then find it in your 'Images' tab from your profile & download it for later. 
 

• US residents only I'm guessing?   

Not at all!  I'm in England, and am willing to ship the comic anywhere, world wide.  Yep... Anywhere!  I'll take it to the Post Office & then let Royal Mail do all the hard work.
 

• Can the costumes be from alternate realities??  

Sorry, but no.  The contest is about showing the 'evolution' of a character.  To do that, you must focus on their Earth-616 mainstream Marvel Universe appearances.  Therefore alternate realities aren't accepted. 
 

• Do we draw one "real" outfit, and then three ones we make up?  Or four real outfits? 

Official outfits only.  If an outfit has appeared in the comics, then it is allowable.  There will be 'design your own version' style contests in future.  For now, stick with 2 to 4 different outfits that have been published & show the 'evolution' of your chosen character. 
 

• I want dibs on...  

Sorry, no 'dibs'.  If someone draws the evolution of Warpath, then someone else will also be able to make an entry featuring Warpath.  All mutants are free to use except for those in the official covers (see the examples above).
