A new day, a new crop of X-Men First Class news. The film has started filming in the underground of London for its June 2011 release date, and a few sources have gotten their hands on information regarding what exactly is being filmed.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, First Class started filming at the Kingsway Tram Subway, which is the last surviving section of the old underground network. V for Vendetta and one of the James Bond films were also filmed in this underground area. What's being filmed there? According to X-Men Films, "Some of the first scenes being filmed involve Charles Xavier attending Oxford University debating the mutant phenomenon, and Erik Lensherr dealing with the horrifying events in Auschwitz via a flashback sequence." No word yet as to how long they'll be shooting the film there.

It's cool to see that this film really will cover some history between Erik and Charles and not just graze over it in seconds. The film will be taking place during the 1960s and will retell the story of Charles and Erik's friendship and how they drifted a part. Although many people, including myself, have been incredibly critical of this film. The plot sounds like it has the backbone of a decent story.

In addition to the film news, there's also this logo floating around the net that many people are calling "the official logo for X-Men First Class." While it does look pretty official, and it also resembles the X-Men logos from previous films, isn't it a little too soon to be tossing out a logo for the film?

With the film set to come out in June of 2011 and filming just beginning, X-Men First Class has hit the internet hard with what seems to be some new piece of news almost daily. It's getting to the point where at least I've become desensitized to the film. Sometimes I feel like the studio is "leaking" certain news about the film just to try and reassure the audience that "this film won't suck." Who knows? We'll all just have to wait until June. what do you guys think about the logo? Does it look real or fan made?
