'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Opening Battle Against Sentinels

@w0nd: Yeah, I'm looking and I can't find anything about Sunspot looking like that...

he did get experimented on and I know he could shoot concussive blasts. and then actually became more durable. I guess he's a human torch now

I'm asking around and nobody else seems to know anything about that, either...

This kinda gets me excited but I'm still keeping my expectations low. Plus I really don't like how the Sentinels look.

Anyway, wasn't expecting much from this movie..but that clip got me excited, then again, the Deadpool clip from Origins got me excited too...so, who knows.

What was a burn about it, exactly? So I don't read whatever Avengers comic he's currently in and don't know what writer decided to add some new abilities, what's the big deal? Somebody was wrong on the internet, happens every day...

The comic story is about a dystopian future where sentinels have killed most mutants, so the X-Men, in a desperate attempt to prevent the the future from happening, send a characters conscious back to the past in their younger body to help the X-Men stop a mutant from assassinating a political figure in Washington DC...

Really excited for this movie! Glad to see Blink getting some screentime. Hopefully we actually see her attack the Sentinels, rather than just teleporting people to places.

I am pretty sure I OWN the actual comics.. so thanks. I just want a big azz purple Sentinel. That's all. I want Juggy to be the size of the Hulk and I want Deadpool to be able to TALK. What are you campaigning about? You like the X Men movies then great. Don't dare say they are doing anything like following along with the actual comics so far.

Honestly, I'm hoping this film will restore my faith in the X-Men film series! It's totally not how I expected so far. Just speaking from the inclusion of Bobby's iceslide, I'm thinking they might make the films more appealing to comic book fans in the future? Here's hoping!

He started as just a strength guy, but his powers did evolve, yes. But I agree, he looks way to "Human Torch". He's not really Sunspot unless he looks like a flaming silhouette with Kirby Dots!

wont care about this "X-Men" movies until they bring back Cyclops in some glories fashion and let Wolverine die in a kiddie pool which is never.

I still prefer X-Men franchise to the Avengers one...way more interesting despite these "changes" people are complaining about the characters.

That FOX was never wrong but you were. Oh If you donna wanna be wrong on the internet everyday either a. only talk about stuff you know about b. make room for alternatives and c. don't diss other people.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the effects either. Seems like the CGI is going on everywhere. Sometimes less is more.

X-Men is better off at Fox. They make mostly great movies and they have a great world of humans and mutants it should stay that way not get covaluded with the massive universe of Marvel. It's also better for Marvel to causing them to focus on characters like GOTG because they don't own their biggest properties. X-men movies have this gret mutant vs human tone it feel more sci-fi then superhero. Also Fox gives them the dark tone they need.

Meh. I couldn't be less excited for this or ASM2 Both those franchises have burned me enough times so that I just don't care anymore

Huh. Learn something new every day. So perhaps I can return the favor: Apparently concept art for Sunspot's powered up look showed it as this, but it was deemed too expensive to do.

I do like the X-Men films.....well, 4/6 are good. The argument of comics not following source material is ridiculous. Barely any comic films do follow their original material precisely, hence the word: adaption. Unless, of course, I missed the part where an Irish ninja trained Batman, or the issues of Iron Man where Mandarin wasn't a real guy and just an actor

The X-Men films obviously do have a great bit of material that follow the comics, and some that doesn't. In actuality, they are really not entirely different from any other comic film franchise, the fans just like to complain more even when they probably don't know what they are talking about...I guess it's cool to be anti-Fox on the internet or something regardless of them just being a movie studio that bankrolls the films and have minor input. The writers/directors are the people really responsible for most of the things people don't like

Oh, and the Sentinels Trask built in 70s in this movie are big.......and purple evidently

While I loved the action sequence in this clip, I just hope that each character gets some good development in this film.

Yep That's why i typed that "I guess he has evolved" (was experimented on really) and yep, I remember reading the early comics where Sunspot had strength and durability in his energy for and it didn't last long before he used up his energy, and cannonball could only fly in straight lines and could not turn. And yep, they could have, and should have, easily made his form appear in the movies like the picture I posted. Darn directors and their alteration of excellent source material.

They should've just left Human Torch as the only good guy with fire powers. Bringing sunspot into the comics makes it confusing and unnecessary.

it looks really awesome but i don't think they should have brought in quicksilver if the had no intention of bringing in scarlet witch, but still can't wait

I agree 'poisonfleur' . Blink looks HOT, not only that but from the preview I already feel like she's my favourite.I don't know but something about her powers works for film much better than say Nightcrawler(and saying that i'm a HUGE Nighcrawler fan), her way of teleportation works because it let's you glimpse or follow through an action fluidly.It's like a first person experience nothing like other teleporters before.Obviously in the newest preview her power is so useful... Bishop fires from his plasma rifle at the sentinel ships through her portals, then she sends Colossus through one portal and as he falls and gains momentum she lets him back through another portal to smash onto a sentinel he was fighting.I really love how her power is exhibited in the film. Awesome...A teleporter and a speedster in one movie..I'm sold :)
