On October 10, the CW will be premiering the first episode of Arrow. The clips from the show have been promising and after seeing the pilot episode myself, I can say we're off to a great start.
To make it all even better, some new information has been released to make comic fans even more happy. Last Friday DC announced that Geoff Johns would be writing an episode of the show. He's been involved with the production and is stepping up to pen an episode as well. It will be episode 107 entitled "Muse on Fire." This is what Johns had to say about it:
I'm thrilled to be writing this episode of ARROW, and while I can't give too much away, I think comic fans are going to like what we have in store for them – keep an eye out for the Huntress.
That's not all. Today Zap2It has announced that the Royal Flush Gang will be appearing on the show as well. They will appear in episode 106 entitled "Legacies."
Sure the Royal Flush Gang might not be seen as the absolute coolest team in comics but the fact that we are seeing actual villains being used rather than just nameless thugs or villains, is a good thing. The show's creators have been vocal that they will not be shying away from using characters from the comics. Seeing how they're translated onto the small screen will be something to see.
Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 10 on the CW at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
