WonderCon 2013: Vertigo Reveals Art for COLLIDER and TRILLIUM

The covers by Robbi Rodriguez and Jeff Lemire can now be seen.

Vertigo recently announced two upcoming titles.

In July, COLLIDER launches as an ongoing series by Simon Oliver and artist Robbi Rodriguez. It is said it will "take the laws of physics, the constants we all know, and twist them upside down into a reality that is completely unpredictable."

Sounds good to me. At the All Access panel today at WonderCon in Anaheim, the cover art, by Rodriguez, was revealed.

That's not all that was revealed.

Vertigo also showed the cover to a new limited series, TRILLIUM. This marks Jeff Lemire's return to Vertigo since the conclusion of the acclaimed SWEET TOOTH. TRILLIUM is described as "a love story about two disparate souls separated by thousands of years and hundreds of millions of miles."

If that doesn't get you interested, check out the cover.

The Trillium cover is gorgeous.

I will definitely be buying the first issue of Trillium.

I may take a flier on Collider when that comes out and buy it. I've never read anything from Simon Oliver before.

Finally they're releasing Collider.

Hopefully it won't get cancelled...

Trillium seems corny

I really need to read Sweet Tooth. It seems to be so highly rated.

@mucklefluga: I've only read the first two trades thus far, but it's really really good. If you like post-apocalyptic stuff, I definitely recommend it.

If I have one rule in life it's read all things Jeff Lemire. Especially if he's drawing it. My only trouble with Trillium is will I buy the single issues or wait for it to be collected?

Trillium looks fantastic.

Strange physics vs weird love story. Collider vs. Trillium. Plus the horrors of the deep sea in Snyder's The Wake. Seems like Vertigo has some promising comics in the pipeline. I'll definitely check out these 3 titles; especially Trillium. The artwork looks amazing and, as I always say, we need more love (stories) in comics. :P

Comics aren't really lacking love stories.

There are only a few comics dealing with love stories; especially as main story line. However, I assume you mean you would not like to have more. Fair enough.

No, I meant the former and there are plenty of those as well.

MORE VERITGO = GOOD THING

Trillium sounds brilliant. There any word on when it's available?

They both look cool.

I've always wondered. Do creators (specifically comic book writers and artists) go to Conventions because they have to or because they want to?

That cover for Collider looks beautiful. I'll definitely be checking it and Trillium out.

Lemire coming back to Vertigo should be the only impetus anyone should need to read Trillium besides that sweet cover.
