That's pretty dang sweet.  I love original art.  I really dig the way Logan looks.  There's so much expression there even though there's a lot of shadow.  Original art simply looks awesome hanging on your wall.  I'm tempted to make an alternate account and do a video in a disguise to get a shot at this.

@Babs:
Yeah but if I get a really good disguise, like a fake mustache, no one will be able to prove it.

People have seen you with a handle bar mustache, remember? People might recognize you because of that, I'd get a wig if I were you.

I really like the extra touch you did with your hair for the video, Babs. Very classy.

G-Man is the comic book man of a thousand voices. Go for it!

How exciting! Definitely worth some play time.

Calero's has such a strong graphic look. He's perfect with the way he uses silhouettes and shadows to capture that oppressive seedy 1930s prohibition era New York. I thoroughly enjoyed the first volume of X-men Noir and I believe I'll love the second. I just hope they simplified the palette. Whoever did the coloring muddied Calero's bold line work and darks.

Sweet look'in art!

Calero's art is definitely worth it.

      Here's mine! Everyone, get over to the Facebook page and make your noir video! Time is running out!

Man oh man...maybe I should try entering this.  I just need the time to do it now, dammit!  GRRRRR!

Now, here's the thing - does it have to be running video?  I was personally thinking of using pictures of myself that I've digitally changed to look something like this:

...except without the word bubbles and in a sort of slideshow setup, almost like a digital comic without any bubbles but with heavy noir narration.  If that would work, it would make it much easier for me...especially since I live in the nighttime.

@Riezner: Yeah, I was searching for some good noir trumpet stuff, old Orson Welles style.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find any in my library, so I just went with something neo-noir.  Namely, I went with Angelo Badalamenti's "Police" from the Lost Highway soundtrack.  What's funnier is...I didn't have to time the music at all for that break at "unbreakable"...

Also, my Christian Bale "Batman" meets Clint Eastwood...is HORRIBLE!

Keep it coming! There's still time!

    Fitting in with how in the marvel universe Japan is always stuck in 1850s with cherry blossoms that bloom year round etc.  PS I like the videos above. Very Noir.  I don't know if it comes across but I'm trying to show a certain someone's (buddy of Elektra) vision if it was in noir. Notice the sounds and how he sees from first person.  Oh well it was just a minute long. Should have shown a reflection of him or something.

@Blackestnight: Very cool, dood!
Posted by Blackestnight

I had another one, a funny one, but didn't make it in time for the deadline. I may post it anyway.

 If only I had a camera and some decent editing skills!

Well great job so far guys!

In case you're curious my idea would have been to have someone say most of if not all of the monologue then get shot and have the shooter continue the line or follow up with a monologue of his/her own.It would work best in a poorly lit alley or dim office space with classic noir costumes. It might also end with some narration by the dead man.

oh well...good luck everyone.

I wish I knew about this EARLIER!!! Man, I have some old noir-ish experimental footage I did with my friends. Haha.

First off, thanks to all of you guys that entered the contest! It was very cool seeing the videos you made! I loved how creative you all got when you set your minds to it! The contest is officially closed, and while all the entries were really very cool, I have to give it up to Blackestnight for his video. I thought it was super creative, so nice job!

Thanks to everyone who entered out contest, and best of luck next time!
