While there still hasn't been any confirmation or official announcement on any villains appearing, UGO has posted that Dylan Baker mentioned at a Q & A for Trick 'r Treat that he received a call for Spider-Man 4. When it was joked that he'd be appearing as just a background character again, Baker said that was the case. The question is, was he telling the truth? Obviously if the Lizard is going to play a bigger role, there's no way Baker would be allowed to casually mention it while promoting another film.
Do you feel it's finally time for the actor to get his chance to star as the villain? Do you think the Lizard could be a cool villain to see on the big screen? I've never been the biggest Lizard fan but he is one of the original villains that Spider-Man has faced. I'm not sure where I'd place my desire to see Lizard over others like Kraven or Scorpion. If I had to choose one villain, I'd go with Mysterio. Until we get solid confirmation, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
