Will Clark Meet Up With Jor-El On The Smallville Ep. "Kandor"?

On the next episode of Smallville (Friday, November 6, 2009), Julian Sands steps in to play Jor-El, the father of Superman.

Jor-El (guest star Julian Sands) mysteriously arrives at the Kent farm searching for his son, Kal-El, but meets Chloe (Allison Mack) instead. Convinced the Blur is Jor-El, Zod (Callum Blue) enlists Tess' (Cassidy Freeman) help in finding him to force him to reveal the secret to his powers. Clark (Tom Welling) realizes Jor-El is alive and on Earth and races to find him before Zod does. Erica Durance and Justin Hartley also star. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Turi Meyer & Al Septien. 

What will this mean for Clark?  How can Jor-El still be alive?  We all know that Smallville has taken its own direction in telling the story of Superman.  We just need to sit back and enjoy the show.  Can Clark find his father before Zod does?

I know Julian Sands a good actor and all but he just doesn't look like Jor-El to me.

don't think Jor and Kal should meet maybe some thing like birth right were Jor sees him before going back to Kandor.

I'm pissed about that too. That would've been such a cool moment to have Stamp show up as Jor-El. I'm sure it would've been a nice little tip of the hat to Superman fans. And can you imagine him and Blue trading "Kneel before Zod!!" lines?

Same here... I don't like this choice. It will be kinda weird seeing Jor-El sound like Stamp and Sands in the flesh.

I don't mind the choice of Julian and I like how his wardrobe is like the movie and all. But I think they should've given him a wig like they did with Brando. I'm digging Zod's uniform though huuuge improvement compared to his movie uniform.

thats not Jor-el this choice is stupid blond hair really wtf idk how there gonna make this make any logical sense. so Jor-el is older then Zod ok i would think if Zod and Jor-el were enimies they would be the same age. smallville is getting to farfetched for my likeing.

I dont think they should have put JOr-el in Smallville besides in the the Fortress to talk to him, they could have holograms of him but not like this, i think this will be dump

Any time Jor-El's been wearing the S-shield, it's either because 1) it's the El family crest (like in Superman: Secret Origin and the movie continuity), or 2) it's a Kryptonian symbol of hope (like in Superman: Birthright). Either of the two makes perfect sense to me.

I wish i had followed smallville from the beginning, ive like what i've seen of it. but has anyone else noticed that The whole smallville cast is just filled with beautiful people? girls and guys. no homo.

Shes with holding information on were is dad is i think he has a right to be angry but he wouldn't really hurt her.

wtf? i dont want this! do you people really want this? Jor-El on earth? Him and Clark meeting?!? ' 
 
This show started out being a Loose interpretation about young Clark Kent before he was Superman. Now, its an elseworld with him doing everything but flying and wearing a cape.  
 I hate this whole "Blur" situation. I hate that the show ditched his BEST FRIEND before he even made it out of Smallville. I hate that Lois was in his life soooo soon. hate that he's met and beat half of his greatest foes before he even made it out of High school. I hate every decision  this show makes. Ever since Clark graduated, and this show decided that Clark Kent should play deadbeat instead of going to college like any other future reporter would.  
 this show is long past garbage. Now its just like the stupid Brave and the Bold show: cool that they show the characters, but overall pointless.  
 
 Shows about comics shouldn't have writers, they should have translators. People who can just slightly tweek the stories to translate on tv. The first two seasons (you know, the ones with high ratings) did that. Now? its just dribble thats dragging the show from around 6 million viewers to less than 4 million.\ 
 
I think DC just needs to stop making tv shows for another 10 years. it worked for Batman/superman tas. It worked for JL/JLU. because whenever they mass produce this stuff, it gets worse and worse.

Only thing i like about this (and then nothing else, because smallville has become nothing but a cliff-hanger & plot-setup ridden, stinking turd of a show, with no clear direction or purpose, and a complete disregard for it's source material...I mean, "the blur"?!... why? because "Superman" sounds too corny?! gimme a break...) *ahem* ...is the guards' uniform. They kind of...KIND OF...look like the military uniforms kryptonians are wearing in World of New Krypton... which is kind of...KIND OF...cool... 
 
And "Kandor"? They're still playing the ol' cheap-trick of using familiar names of characters and places to attract fans?  "oh, Kandor's gonna appear on the show...I cant wait!!!" riiiiiiight...and 5 minutes into the episode, it turns out THEIR Kandor is an island near the Bahamas instead of a bottled kryptonian city... like always.... 
My only question is: when are they cancelling it?!
