Why Do Superheroes Wear Boots?

Emma didn't seem to mind when she got her boobs larger than life. Monet, again, Choosing to keep her gucci outfit clean instead of saving a girl that was about to explode, same for Karla. SO them wearing heels is not that absurd when you think about it."

i'd agree if they were new to walking in them but they've had them on since they were like 14. Monet with Generation X and Karla in her origins. Emma also wore them in the first volume in new x-men and had zero problems."

It's a comic book. If a costume looks better in heels i'd say draw her that way. I couldn't care less about if she would run slower yes or no. I'm not thinking about that when i'm reading a comic book. And if you do, that's fine. That's why i said in the beginning we defer in opinion. "

And i was talking about costumes, i don't care if they wear heels or nikes if it suits better with their costumes and you compare it to wonderwoman killing half the justice league.. i don't see the logic in that. Please don't put words in my mouth. I'm talking about their costumes and I value the fantasy world they create in comics, and if characters look better in heels, yes then draw them that way. If characters all look better in jeans then draw them that way, if it fits their personality then draw them that way. If a character wears heels and they need to run really fast i honestly don't care if they run the same as if they were wearing nikes. Edit: Anyway i'm off, good discussion, but i don't agree with you ;)"

"Because majority of comics are geared towards men, and heeled boots elongate the leg and body creating more sexual appeal?  It's kinda like why do female characters wear these tiny little outfits?  Not just in comics... but in video games and other medias.  Because it creates more appeal for the majority customer.Even I have gotten a lot of criticism on my 3D female models, because I model them with smaller breasts (A-B cup), and all of my friends and instructors say the same thing.  It's nice to see more realism in my models and some over all variety, but in the games industry, the girls need some more "kadonk-a-donk".Anyways, back to the topic of boots...  it's all about sex sells.  That's my thought on it anyhow."
