Who Or What Is Ultimate X?

Back in November we got a first glimpse at "Ultimate X."  During the events of Ultimatum, Ultimate Wolverine died.  The image showed we saw showed us a teenage mutant with some similar looking claws.  All we know is that he will be referred to as "Ultimate X."
 
Who or what is Ultimate X?  Marvel sent us another image this morning.  What we can see is he still appears to be an angry kid.  Could this be Ultimate Daken?  Has Wolverine somehow been transformed into a teenager?  Could this perhaps be Ultimate X-23?
 
In less than a month, on February 3, we will find out.  Jeph Loeb and Arthur Adams will tell the story of a character "whose identity will leave jaws on the floor and change the Ultimate Universe forever." 
 
Who do you think it could be?  And what's with the blacked out figure behind this guy in the new image?

I'm pretty sure this kid is going to be ultimate mimic or something like that. It looks like angel wings blacked out behind him

If it is not Ultimate Mimic like I first thought I am disappoint.Behind him i see someone with flames flying around,a woman,and someone with wings and  a cape or long coat on the right.No idea who they are.

I also think is mimic.... but on the last page of Ultimatum #5 there's a list of characters who diead but missing in action are Firestar and Havock.... You say someone with flames flying around... could that be the missing Firestar???

He could be a clone of Wolverine or maybe he could be his kid.
looks like some guy with flames behind him may be he'll interact with Johnny Storm.

No one is buying this, "it'll change the universe forever" stuff anymore. After it's been used to describe every issue Marvel puts out, it loses it's zest. 
 
Ultimate X is obviously Storm from earth -43225 anyway.

Yeah, that's kinda why I'm throwing that theory out there. Marvel can't seem to do a book without Wolverine somewhere in there...
However, I don't know who wrote it, but I really like the idea of Ultimate Mimic.

Good call man, I didnt notice the people behind him. Maybe the flame one is liz allen from USM. I was kind of hoping it would be ultimate mimic, though that would be dangerously close to peter patrelli from heroes which might be lame. I'm actually getting pretty interested in this book. I think it would be pretty cool if that were ultimate cable.

Could be but I'm not familiar with how her flames are drawn so there's no telling...no feminine features can be seen we'll have to wait and see just like we have to wait to find out who Ultimate X is.

Again it could be her but there is just no telling.
 
Also I find it funny that while we nothing about who this is he exibits some similarities with Wolverine.We don't know who he is but already he may be on a team with three other people, soon he will be everywhere in the ultimate universe.

The girl with flames is Firestar, I'm 99% sure on that one, I can't even tell how many people are even in the back, so that doesn't help much. And those look like bone claws, he's probably either Ultimate X-23, somehow related to Sabortooth, or a clone of Wolverine. But from this image, it looks more like the new Ultimate X-Men title, just without the "Men" in it.

I think it's probably the Ultimate "X-23" myself. Wolvie clone trying to be normal...in the real world. Maybe not, but that was my first thought, though it would be interesting if it were Mimic.

What if its Ultimate "X-23 Daken"... huh huh... a actual clone of LOgan that has Dakens attitude... with a lil Bit of X-23's attitude... and or persona... but that hes a totally new Person Hence Ultimate X... and then he somehow becomes the new Wolverine... jus like Daken did...

I agree I'm quite Wolverine'd out like most of you.  Seriously, he isn't even my favorite Mutie (Nightcrawler, ftw!). 
 
By biggest concern is Loeb's recent writing ability.  Ultimatum was utter shit.

Loeb tends to use misdirection to create mystery, so its kind of a boggle.

you should if its Millar, I was hesitant and bought the 1st xmen trade just for something to but and I got sucked into.  His Ultimates work is crazy good.  If you never read it go with Ultimates.  Good thing he's back cuz once he left it went down hill.

I want to read it, only to know more about ultimate universe, Ultimate spider-man blowed and is blowing my fraggin brains out, Ultimate x-men is awesome and I regulary re-read Ultimate F4 with the background music being D.A.N.C.E of Justice(worthless info right?) and almost all the events are wesome, like Ultimate War, or Ultimate Extincion
