Watch 18 Minutes of 'Gotham' Previews

Not sure if you're going to check out FOX's new show about Jim Gordon and young Bruce Wayne? Well, here's a whole lot of preview footage to help you make up your mind!

The comic book genre has become a huge hit on the big screen and now various channels are attempting to see if they can duplicate any success with these characters on the small screen. DC has its properties going to several networks and FOX has the chance to pull us into Gotham City. The show will feature James Gordon's attempt to clean up the city and how Bruce Wayne is coping after the death of his parents. We've seen plenty of trailers and interviews with the talent behind the show, but clearly, FOX wants to make sure the upcoming show stays on our radar. The feature is called "The Legend Reborn" and there's 3 different segments: Mythic Beginnings, A City on The Edge, and Behind the Shadows. You can watch each of 'em below.

Have these videos changed your opinion of the show? Let us know in the comments if you're going to check out the first episode and what kind of expectations you currently have.

Gotham premieres September 22 at 8/7c on FOX.

"Possibly the Joker?" Thanks for the spoiler...maybe...

Posted by Boynerdgeek

Matt Ryan Constantine will be the winner. His looks exactly like Constantine from comics

Posted by NightFang

@fables87: Their gonna be teasing us with possible Jokers for the whole season.

  • "Possibly the Joker"? WOOOOO-HOOOOO!!!
  • I noticed that they're trying not to say the B-word
  • Who else thinks Lew Moxon was behind the Waynes getting shot?
  • I really hope they keep the "Falcone might be Selina Kyle's father" thing
  • I never realized that everyone in Gotham City (except Catwoman and Poison Ivy) was so much older than Bruce Wayne

It could be a success, if done well. I will be checking out the first few episodes. It's an alternate reality. So I'm not getting my panties in a bunch over them changing things. At the end of the day, my viewership will depend on whether or not it entertains me.

So boring.

Looks good, i'll watch the pilot and then judge by myself.

I'll definitely check it out.

Looking good

I've always been a big fan of Bullock so I'm happy he seems to be getting a lot of on-screen time. I'm not a big fan of TV series, but I have been so excited about this one ever since it was announced and everything they put out just gets me more in the mood.

Also, I'm very curious to see how they will deal with the traditional chicken-egg question in relation to Gotham: "Did the supervillains spawn Batman, or did Batman spawn the supervillains?"

I cannot wait for this, esp. Riddler and Ivy

This is a elseworld story so don't lose it fans.

I'm calling it right now..Fish Mooney is going to be a stand out character that will receive a lot of praise, and eventually she'll somehow make her way to the comics. Also, I feel like this show will shed more light on the Penguin, and may affect his comic book standing, and his past will probably be more explored in the comics.

I will be watching the first few episodes, and decide from there if I want to continue. Great Job K4tz!

Penguin's supposed to be a legal midget and fat

Selina is younger than Bruce

Nigma is about the same age as bruce

Pamela wasn't crazy until her change

I'll watch it just knowing it's not accurate

Posted by CaptainBatman

@amazingwebhead: they shouldn't be much older and im not sure if riddler should even be older at all, I'm pretty sure edward becomes riddler at a similar time bruce becomes batman

I have this weird feeling that in the future Penguin is going to snatch power from Mooney and say "Penguins eat fish." before either killing her or leave either financially and/or physically crippled.

Posted by Overlander

I'm still cautiously pessimistic. The portrayal of James Gordon looks right, but everyone else...doesn't.

I was just thinking the same thing!

The only thing that irritates series is that it's not airing yet, and we have to wait until Fall.

I think it´s safe to consider this series outside of comic book continuity even if it might have its influences. It seems to me like they just want to portray a certain interpretation of Gotham (BTAS and The Batman were two completely different shows set in Gotham) and so it makes sense for them to change some things and try out new stuff. I just want to warn you that watching the series with a "this is not accurate" mindset might ruin an otherwise interesting and fresh take.

EXCITED. The city looks especially great.

Lol at people who still don't understand the concept of a different continuity.

Coming next, METROPOLIS, new show featuring Jimmy Olsen and Perry White. No superman on anything like that, just his uninteresting supporting cast.

That's basically what this is.

not gonna lie this is whay i was thinling the whole time. i have a feeling its gonna blow.

I've got this awful feeling that this is going to focus completely on the gimmick of "We're using Batman characters" instead of being a good TV show. I don't want to have all these people shoved down my throat for 24 hours (or however many episodes are in each season). I hope it is good.

Posted by GraniteSoldier

Looks good. I never got the impression that this many characters were that much older than Bruce though, but I suppose that could just be for the show.

Posted by LEGACY6364

I hope its not like Arrow. It does seem to have a stable platform. But i'm more concerned with Constantine.

That's exactly my point!

Eh, I'd rather wait for Batman vs Superman, the Dark Knight Trilogy already has Batman's origins nailed for me (cinematically).

I am very much looking forward to this series. I love Alternate World looks at characters. This looks like it will be entertaining and add a few twists to familiar characters. I also could see Fish Mooney pulling a Harley and making the jump to the comics if she is as bad @$$ as the clips make her seem. :)

Really? most people say I'm too positive. (I just can't win)

Posted by Sulika

Why is this airing on Fox? They don't have the same ties to Warner Brothers that the CW or NBC have so it's odd that it would be there.

if your idea of positivity is complaining about everything marvel does then yea i guess you are

I was complaining about something DC related on this page. Also how is it on the same day people think I'm a Marvel fan boy, someone else ends up thinking I hate Marvel?

Posted by StarBrand1

@captainmarvel4ever: marvel/dc whatever it is, everytime i see you post its you complaining about it.

dont worry, its not jsut you, i wonder why 99 percent of the people who post here still read comics, since all they do is criticize and hate pretty much everything
