Vertigo Announces Strange Adventures #1

Some of the greatest writers of our time get together in May.

Vertigo has just announced the release of Strange Adventures #1 for May. The comic will gather some of the greatest comic book writers of our time, including Peter Milligan, Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire. That right there should be enough to grab your attention. 
 
What will the comic be about? From the far reaches of space to the not so distant future, Vertigo will bring you a collection of 8 ten page science fiction short stories as only Vertigo can do them. 
 
To make this even sweeter, the Eisner award-winning team of 100 Bullets, Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso reunite to bring you the first chapter of their upcoming new series SPACEMAN. 
 
Check out the cover by Paul Pope. There will also be a variant cover by Mark Buckingham. Be sure to let your local comic shop know that they must order a copy of this series for you.

But to actually comment on the topic at hand..I'll be picking this up at the very least for the Pope cover. Then if it strikes my fancy, I'll get the rest. This sort of thing is right up my alley too what with the Mysteries in Space feel to it...

Awesome! I love serialised books like that where each issue is it's own story and sci-fi is my favorite genre, next to horror. Can't wait to get my hands on this.

Strange Adventures gonna be awesome, maybe, anyway the cover look good, so does the potential writers.

find this to be great news, always love the old sci-fi of the golden and silver age. Would be nice to see a revival of that genre in comics.
